Great experience

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 4 weeks ago
Beautiful place to stay! Our room had a great view of the ocean. Although small we had all the room we needed. Clean and inviting. The women in charge of breakfast were friendly, hospitable, and great cooks. Lots of breakfast options! We enjoyed the chance to sample bake apple jam. The dining room and the common room provided lots of opportunities to get to meet fellow travellers and share experiences. Always hot and cold drinks, cookies, candy available. Highly recommended.

Great location for visiting the viking area! Beautiful main house. The breakfast was excellent and the ladies serving it, very kind and personable. We were in the rooms that were lot in the main house. They were nice and clean. Unfortunately, the shower water had an off-smell. I'd highly recommend staying in the main house.

Room tip: Recommend rooms in the main house.

The room was cozy, clean and in a great area! The ladies that take care of this b&b are absolutely amazing. So friendly and willing to share their knowledge of the area. They made the best ever breakfast with the best local homemade jams and jellies. We truly felt at home here and wish we could have spent more time.

Room tip: The rooms are very rustic, but very nice!

The room we had was small but it was comfortable and it had a walk out with a wonderful ocean view. It was also clean and well-appointed. The breakfast, served in a communal dining room, was delicious to say the least! The staff was warm and welcoming. Terry, the owner, also runs the nearby Daily Catch (best chicken fingers ever!— and the fish was fresh too and well prepared) and runs boat tours. We had a wonderful experience in this very remote part of the country. Thanks Terry!

I would describe this B&B as rustic & quaint. Provided all that we wanted and needed. Room was very clean, showers that worked well with plenty of hot water. The hot breakfast provided was more than adequate and prepared by very helpful and welcoming ladies. The bed & pillows were very comfortable and breeze from the ocean side wonderful when windows were opened. Being at the end of the row of units our view of the ocean was indirect and somewhat compromised, but it was still ocean facing. Only concern was that the deck was in desperate need of repair so I understand not having chairs to use on it, but given that all other units had chairs, it would have been nice to sit outside as we had some very pleasant evenings. Hope that gets fixed soon. The sliding door did not lock, but there was a bar in the track & I'm sure there's no need for security in such a tiny village. Self check-in is actually a good approach and pretty easy. There was no instruction on how to order breakfast, but other guests were happy to explain the process. The people we met while staying there (other guests & staff) made the experience of our stay incredibly enjoyable and memorable. Terry, the host, was also most helpful in our planning and reservation phase.

Fabulous experience! Terry was an awesome host. His staff were very attentive. Cassie and Judy served us a delicious breakfast in a dining room where we got to socialize with other guests.

Terry saw us off on the boat ride with Cody where we saw whales and then he greeted us when we got back.

The evening meal at the Daily Catch with live music was excellent and there was Terry geeting, waiting table and making everyone feel at home.
The best B & B we have experienced.
