There is not much I can add to the other reviews. We stayed at the Maidment House because it was so highly recommended. We were not disappointed. Really liked the location at the center of Trinity. Karen was a wonderful host and enjoyed meeting her family, Eric and Benjamin. Wonderful visit with fellow travelers at breakfast. They had interesting stories to tell. Highlights were hiking the Skerwink trail and visits to the Bonavista Peninsula, Elliston, and seeing the puffins at Maberly.

We spent 3 nights at Maidment House, based on my sister's recommendation. We really enjoyed it. Karen (the host) is very hospitable, and her breakfasts are wonderful. We were in a room with a queen sized bed and decent sized bathroom with a walk-in shower. I'm sure the other rooms are equally as lovely. Maidment House is in a great location, an easy walk to everything else in Trinity. I'd highly recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maidment House. Karen and her family were very inviting and made you feel like you were family. They have done a fantastic job on the restoration of this B&B. Our breakfast were to die for and kept you going for a full day of touring this quaint little town and surrounding area. Thank you Karen for a very memorable vacation.

We were warmly greeted by our hostess, Karen. Throughout our three-day stay, Karen was always friendly yet always professional. She was extremely helpful. Her breakfasts were different every morning and we’re both delicious and nutritious. She made her home your home away from home. Her beautiful house is very clean and very tastefully decorated from the amazing artwork to the lovely quilts. We were a seniors couple travelling with two other family members. Highly recommend it as the best place we have ever stayed in.

Room tip: Most rooms have an en suite bathroom. One room has its own bathroom but it is beside the bedroom in the hall.

My husband and I recently traveled to Newfoundland for the first time and found early in our Google searches that Trinity was a 'must see' village. It didn't take long to discover from our searches that the Maidment B&B in Trinity was also a 'must stay'. This historic home, owned and operated by Karen and her husband Eric, has been tastefully restored with hints of its original cobbler owner. They have created a warm, 'homey' atmosphere. Karen is a thoughtful hostess who provides her guests with a spotless room, a gourmet breakfast, and itineraries for day trips that include treasure troves of unique places to stop that are not necessarily found in other online travel sources. We highly recommend this B&B to anyone staying in the Trinity/Bonavista area.

Room tip: We stayed in the Magnolia room. It has a private bath and tasteful decor. The other two rooms seem equally as charming.
