You are greeted by the friendly owners and offered tea and asked your preferred time for breakfast. Great start! The location is convenient, the rooms nicely appointed, and the breakfast is amazing.

Heritage House could not have been better! The property was first rate, with great rooms and beds, an awsome dining and lounging area, as well as huge outdoor deck for evening tea or wine. Liz and Dick took care of our evry need including a gluten-free diet issue. Breakfast leftovers (baked goods) were in good supply and became bagged lunches each day. Great conversations over coffee or wine made it seem as if we were visiting friends rather than a B&B.... and at the end of our 3 days it was hugs and handshakes as a goobye. It just doesn't get better than this ! We would not hesitate to recommend this as a stoppover, for any number of days.

Lovely B&B, very clean and comfortable. Liz and Dick are wonderful hosts. We stayed in the "Cape Breton" room which is accessed from outside the main house. Nicely appointed room with large bathroom. Be aware though that the room is directly below the breakfast area and every footstep above can be heard in the morning. This did not present a problem for us but it might for someone who wants to have a leisurely sleep in! If you think this will be bothersome, ask for a different room but don't pass up this B&B - it's definitely a winner.

We stayed here for two nights and had a wonderful stay. Our hosts, Liz and Dick did everything imaginable to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfasts were delicious and our room was comfortable and clean. It is a great base for exploring the Cabot Trail.

Stayed in this lovely B & B for 3 nights. Wow, couldn't have been better. The rooms are comfy with gorgeous four poster beds. We stayed in "the Lighthouse" and it was lovely. Beds are extremely comfortable, and the breakfasts are amazing. Liz is a great cook and the scones are the best I've ever tasted. Breakfast is served at the time you specify and they are generous portions. No need to interrupt your day for lunch as Liz and Dick have bags of goodies for everyone as they embark on their day, so between the delicious breakfast and the goodies, you are good until suppertime.

Hope to visit Cape Breton again, and will definitely stay in the Baddeck Heritage House when we do. Thanks Liz and Dick for a fantastic 3 days. Oh by the way, check out the Ceilidh. Liz recommended it and it was fantastic and just a short walk from the hotel.

Dick and Liz are perfect B & B hosts....they really care about their guests and have considered everything to make guests comfortable. The breakfast of blueberry french toast was fabulous...so delicious. They also gave out scones/muffins after breakfast for 'road snacks'.......so thoughtful! Our room was below the house and had it's own private entrance....a very nice feature indeed. The bed was really soft and comfortable and I slept well. It is a short walk into town. Dick and Liz gave us the tip to go early to get Ceilidh tickets....and we throughly enjoyed that experience. I'd definately come back!

Room Tip: I loved the room with it's own entrance. (Cape Breton Suite). It gives one a little more private...

This B & B is not be missed if travelling in Nova Scotia. We stayed 2 nights in August 2011. The hosts were gracious and welcoming and even helped us find alternate accomodation for the next night as they were fully booked. The breakfast was superlative, the garden and deck peaceful, the accomodations spotless and the linens comfy and of high quality. This was our best B &B experience ever..
