We stayed here for 2 nights, and had a room on the second storey overlooking the water (can't remember the name of the suite). The suite was nicely decorated (it look like it was recently renovated) and had a living room (couch, tv, desk), bathroom with hot tub, and bedroom, and all rooms were very spacious. There were four windows, so there was plenty of light, including a large picture window in the bedroom. A great place to watch the sunset over the bay. Free wifi was included and there is parking nearby. The inn also has a decent restaurant attached which also has large windows overlooking the bay. Cheticamp is a great location to base yourself for visiting the National Park. One minor complaint was that the cleaning of the room on our first night could have been a bit more thorough. It's also not cheap, but it was a lovely place and we had very enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Beautiful spot right on the water. You can spend the night in the hotel and feel fulfilled. Have a drink by the dock and enjoy the upstairs restaurant overlooking the water. Slightly overpriced but certainly a nice spot.

We stayed in the Highlander Suite for 3 nights in August. The suite was huge with a full kitchen and whirlpool tub. Cheticamp is a delightful town, just a few miles from Cape Breton National Park. We also had a good meal in the restaurant downstairs and never heard any noise from the restaurant. The restaurant offers free music at least 2 nights a week. We were fortunate to be there one of the nights.

Bay Wind Suites is not your ordinary place to stay. It was handcrafted by the masters and every detail is perfect. They only have 4 suites, but mine was a 2-room suite overlooking the harbor. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. I had a great view of the harbor from my bedroom window, and watched as the fishermen met and spent nearly the entire night talking (and I don't know what else). By sunrise, they had all climbed into their fishing boats and left for a day of fishing. The bed linens were soft and fresh, the bathroom had a jacuzzi, and the living room had a very comfortable sitting area with a couch and 2 chairs, as well as TV and a desk.

Room Tip: Always ask for the second floor room overlooking the harbor.
