“Beyond our expectations!”
Reviewed 25 April 2012

Bill and AnnMarie went out of their was to ensure our short holiday time there was a success! Thanks Bill, the tour of Port Royal Habitation was wonderful. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable, the sunrise from the "Bessie" room was stunning. The gourmet breakfast was great, with care taken in all the small details. We look forward to a return visit and more Nova Scotian hospitality!

|We booked our night at Seafaring Maiden as a last minute plan from Halifax. Being motorcyclists the weather guides our plans and the two days we had available showed fantastic weather in the Annapolis area. Bill was so accomdating when we called last minute to book a room. We really enjoyed our stay and the room and the welcome and the next morning's breakfast. But the highlight was when Bill recommended a trail in Dewlaps Cove to us and then sent us on our way. As we were motorcycling back from the beautiful location he had recommended suddenly we say a truck approaching us. A man held out his hand from the window of the driver's side and from it was dangling my husband's most treasured crucifix which he wears around his neck every day. It was Bill!!! He noticed right away that my husband had dropped the crucifix in our room and had set out to return it to us hoping we were headed to his recommneded location. What a wonderful man!! We are very grateful for the above and beyond effort Bill put in for our sake. Thank you Bill, we will be back and will recommend to all our friends. Please all others, take this as a sign that the Seafaring Maiden B and B is THE PLACE to stay in Nova Scotia.

Bill's advice definitely helped make a great trip. He directed us out to a few short hikes around the Annapolis-Royal and Long Island areas that were amazing. The rooms were great, and the bed was the most comfortable one I've slept in months. For a last minute trip, everything was prepared when we arrived, with even some flexibility as to which room we stayed in. The breakfast was fantastic, and we totally wish we had stayed another night... or two!

Room Tip: The Captain has a great view of Annapolis Royal and Fort Anne.

The Seafaring Maiden combines the joy of feeling at home, with the luxury of being away on a paradise holiday. The rooms are elegant, large, and decorated with loving touches married with luxurious appointments. Breakfast foods are scrumptious and served with care in good taste. Only the hospitality of Bill and Anne Marie exceeds the quality rating of the inn itself. Who else would search in the cupboards and pull out some grits to please the southern tastes of this traveler. Well done in all respects.

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful B&B in the stunning Annapolis Valley for two nights in June 2011. The rooms were beautifully appointed with antique furniture, great views of the river, and a deliciously comfortable bed. Bill and Anne-Marie are the most inviting, generous hosts you could hope to meet on your travels in the Maritimes. They served us a beautiful home made egg breakfast and were always willing to accomodate special dietary needs. One morning we set out for a Whale watching tour at 7 am and Bill was waiting for us with hot tea in take away cups. We were very sad to leave this restful paradise and would recommend that anyone traveling West in Nova Scotia make a special stop to stay at a Sea Faring Maiden.

This place is Spectacular! My 2nd most favorite place I ever stayed during almost 3 weeks in NS. Can't wait to go back. You wont be disappointed. Worth every dollar, and by far the most romantic spot. Unbelievable friendly hosts. Will go back. Experience the jewel the Seafaring Maden.
