My boyfriend and I recently stayed here and what an amazing place with a beautiful view. Very clean room spacious rooms and the staff was wonderful. Only thing I would change would be to add a microwave to the rooms but other than that it's perfect. Also check out the pub at the end of the building. They have to die for wings at an excellent price.

Stayed here for 2 nights in late Oct. This has to be a spectacular stay in the summer or fall(just a bit earlier). The view here is second to none, rooms are clean and comfortable for a reasonable price. I will be back here for another stay next year when the nearby attractions are open...loved it
Beautiful, clean rooms with awesome views of the Bras D'or and the absolute best staff! The Frolic n Folk pub, built into the Inn, has a great tap selection and renowned local and international musicians rolling through on the weekend! If you're looking for a great home base for a Cape Breton adventure look no further. Thanks for the stay and can't wait to come back!
I can’t say enough great things about the Iona Heights Inn! Overlooking the water in an excellent location, is the quaint Iona Heights Inn. We were travelling with our dog and much appreciated the bottom floor room which was beautifully decorated and nicely updated. The attached restaurant was delightful for dinner and a drink- would highly recommend!!
I was excited from what I saw on TripAdvisor, and the reality still exceeded expectations. You travel to Cape Breton for three things- Music, Drinking, and Great Views. This place has all three. What could possibly be better than having a great night at the pub, and then walking 20 feet to get to your room? No designated driver required.
Didn't catch the name of the lad working the check in, but he also doubled as a bartender and couldn't have been a better guy. So friendly, made everything easy, was completely accommodating.

Room was ok, had some funky daylight lamp installed so at 630am it turned on i guess to wake us up with sunrise? Couldn't figure out how to turn it off but atleast was able to dim it down and go back to sleep.
The pub closed at 9pm and there were a bunch of noisy people leaving the bar between 9 and 10pm and as the window lock mechanism was broken we couldn't shut the window to make it quieter.
They charged an "extra" $20 fee because we brought our pup along... umm... ok but next time clean the floors in the bathroom so they don't have black stuff all over them - or the mold around the edges of the tub. Then the extra pet fee might make sense.
AC unit worked well but the display on it was super bright.
