I enjoyed four meals in the BlackRock bistro in the past few weeks - 2 were for business and two were personal. Each time the food and service were consistently excellent - and that was whether I was on my own, with one other person, or during a business lunch for 5 women. I was particularly impressed when one of the owners offered to open the Bistro for my business lunch before it opened for daily lunch for the summer season. I met in advance with him, told him my plans, and he helped me to get organized, including making sure his staff could come in for the event. I suggested that he offer a selected menu - but he insisted on making sure that the full menu was available, which certainly impressed my guests! Everyone loved their food - whether it was chowder, pizza, light lunch, etc. On a final note - the Bistro was very clean, including the washrooms. I highly recommend going there, whether you are on your own, with one other person or part of a group.

If you missed the maple madness menu this year, make sure to watch for it next spring. All of the dishes contained maple and many featured the cheese from That Dutchman. The food was amazing! This event is held in the spring for two consecutive weekends. There is a dinner menu on the Saturday night and a brunch on Sunday morning.

Portion sizes are perfect. There is a wine bar attached to the bistro with a great drink menu. The atmosphere at this bistro is fabulous! Dinner was followed by music which featured two local musicians. They performed some great original songs and some well known covers. What a great night- so worth the trip!

Before we headed back home, we had a lovely brunch at the bistro. We will be back for Maple Madness! Great job, BlackRock Bistro!

Thank Molly M

Amazing pizza and beautiful surroundings. Had lunch with friends and shopped the gift and art shops in town.

This restaurant uses as many fresh and local ingredients as it can acquire. There are many items on the menu that reflect great attention to designing a creative menu based on local fish, vegetables, wild blueberries and other local fruit, and local craft beer and wines. The waitress we had might focus a bit more on selling this local focus as an important part of this restaurant's creative culinary signature.
