We had an amazing dinner here. The two appetizers were delicious!as was 5e fresh, hot bread served. I had the gnocchi special. It was fabulous. My other companions had the fish special and the spaghetti. Both thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Absolutely perfect. The servings were a good size, not huge, but certainly enough to satisfy. Two desserts were shared - the tiramisu, which was wonderful, and the poached orange (slightly disappointing, only because we were expecting a previous version of this that was served on chocolate cake). The owner was happy to take it off the menu and get the feedback - he actually thanked us. A true sign that they want to please their customers Can’t wait to go back.

Casa Carbone is very new (Feb 2018) and brings a new level of dining to the east side of Aurora. Very traditional Italian food, served fresh from the open kitchen. Good wine list.

Date night perfection. If you are all about quality over quantity, go no further. This place is delicious! Many ragus (just like Nonna used to make!, maybe better but don’t tell her!), all handmade pasta, amazing fish, and decadent thin crust pizzas as they should be!!! We’ve tried a lot of the menu and it is sooo good. Portions are very reasonable, but of course are smaller than your big chains, so stop comparing apples to oranges. To boot, their wine list is a wonderful value, and the staff super attentive. Not even sure why only 4 stars. You gotta try it on your next special night out! We will be back often.

1st time there- wanted to check it out. Clean, modern decor. Very busy & had to wait 10 min for a table. Ordered a drink & appetizer at the bar. Certainly a happening spot. Glad we waited. Food- while not cheap- was superb. Very pleased with all parts of the meal. Even some Italian & local craft beers! Would recommend!

My wife and I had a very nice first time visit to this restaurant. The space is small, but the tall ceilings make it feel spacious. As others have mentioned, it can be loud, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Service is knowledgeable and attentive, drinks are good, the food is terrific.

The bread rolls were warm and delicious, 2 of them were infused with the smoke flavour from the wood fired oven. They also provide olive oil and balsamic for the bread, a nice old school touch. The octopus is among the best we've had, cooked perfectly, and a decent portion size. The 2 pastas we had were fantastic. I had the orecchiette and my wife had the valpolicella tagliatelle. Both were sublime. I was surprised by how well the kitchen combined the strong flavours of rapini, anchovy and provola cheese, so not a single flavour stood out more than the other. While it wasn't an inexpensive night out, great experiences rarely are. Two cocktails, 2 apps, 2 pastas and a bottle of wine, $140, before tip.

A couple of things that could have improved the experience: they should have sat in the chairs for longer than 2 minutes when choosing them. Bare metal can become uncomfortable over the course of a dinner. The bread "baskets", particularly for the 2 seat tables should be much smaller. Portion sizes, particularly for the pasta should be marginally bigger. They don't need to be dramatically bigger, but pasta cost is minimal, and giving people a sense of "value" would go a long way.

That being said, we really enjoyed our evening at Casa Carbone and will definitely return. Definitely recommended.
