This was a team trip. Kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast lounge could be reserved for groups or accessed to socialize without disturbing guests. The price was decent; not outstanding; breakfast included. No wifi except for the lobby but was useless because there is a firewall so ipods/ipads cannot access internet. There is a computer room with free access. Every room has a mini-kitchenette (small fridge & microwave). Rooms have a spacious layout, are clean and comfortable. The bathroom fan is loud and goes on automatically with the light which makes it disturbing for other family members who are trying to sleep. Easy access to the highway -- much else around.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms next to the elevator - you'll hear a low, consistent noise all night long.

Had a great stay here. I only stayed one night but it was great - not one complaint. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, everything worked great and the staff were so nice. Every staff member I met was pleasant and seemed happy.

Thank you so much for your thoughful review. I apologize about the issues with the hot water. There was still one hot water tank they had been unable to fix from the problem we had back in November. An extremely long and frustrating delay. It has now been fixed (as of February 4th) and I'm happy to say there is now more than enough hot water to accommodate the completely sold out hotel! :-)
I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay here and look forward to having you back with us again the next time you're in Bowmanville!

Sincerely,

Kim Shields

I have a mixed bag review on this hotel. First we stayed in the Jacuzzi Suite and it was very nice. It has a big two person hot tub. We loved it! Bed was very comfortable to sleep in. The pool was nice but very small with a hot tub next to it. The buffet breakfast was good, bigger then most free buffets around. They actually had this cool little pancake maker, along with eggs, sausage, and fruit. Everthing was nice. But the downside is that my experiance with noise was much different the most. There was a hockey team of 12 yr. old boys with parents that were more interested in partying then taking care of their kids. I'm generally very patient with kids but these were out of control. Running around the hotel having a wild time. On top of that the walls were very thin you could hear people in the room next to us talking. They must have hated when we were in the jucuzzi. So as I said a mixed review. I do suspect and acknowledge that if you take out the hockey team I would have rated this hotel much higher.

Stayed night before last while attending a seminar. Rooms were very quiet and clean. No wifi in rooms but you can connect an ethernet cord for broadband internet. Wifi available in lobby. The free breakfast was great! Hot eggs and sausage as well as pancakes, fruit, cereals etc. Very nice hotel! Easily located just off the 401. Very glad to read the comment about not sport team friendly...good work Management!
