Needs updating

2.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Aug 14, 2016via mobile
Let me start by saying the management is very nice and accommodating. But this place needs some serious TLC. The Hallways and staircases need vacuuming. The shower had mold on the ceiling and shower curtain was old and stained. Only A/C is wall unit in second room which is very loud and does nothing for the main room when door is closed at night. Would not return unless upgraded.

We stayed here for 2 nights on a long weekend. We rented a family suite, which had a kitchenette, 1 small dining table, 1 bathroom, 1 bedroom with a queen bed and TV and the main living area also had 1 queen bed and a TV. Our room was on the third floor, so we had a balcony with 2 chairs.
Management was very nice, but the hotel needs a lot of updates.
There are no elevators, so if you don't do well with stairs this may not be the place for you. There are stairs to get to any floor in the hotel - not many, but some people aren't able to do stairs at all.
The room was, for the most part, clean, but needed updating. The beds seemed new and the bedding was very clean. Under the bed, could have used a better vacuum job - there were crumbs, not from us. The kitchen was clean and dishes, dish soap and dishtowels provided. The bathroom sink and toilet were clean, but the tub and shower walls were old and had stains. The room had a window a/c unit, but only in the separate bedroom, so if you close the door at night, the people in the main area bed get no a/c. They provide a small table fan, that helps a bit, but we still found it warmer than we like. We did open the balcony door, a bit, but the screen to the door was off and actually didn't fit that door, so there were gaps and we didn't really want to let any bugs in.
The management were nice, the price was reasonable, the location of the hotel was great and we did really like that we could put the kids in a separate room at night, but unless some updates were done, I would look elsewhere for accommodations.

I used to like staying here but not so much anymore since the new management took over. I did not find it as friendly and not as clean as it was before. The hallways and stairs need vacuuming and toiletries are not replenished when they clean your room. I had to ask for toilet paper!! A guest should not have to go to the office to ask for that! It is also very loud, you can hear people flushing the toilet and slamming doors. I won't be staying here again - which is too bad because I used to really like it...☹️

There was a mouse nest in the pull out couch. Management tried their best to make us feel better. We had to say in the Mousey Couchey room the first night but were "upgraded" to "executive suite" next night with no mousey couchey!

Stayed in a lower floor, basement apartment for a 1 night stopover. It was pretty dark but clean with all amenities. If you want fluffy towels etc then probably not for you.
Decor couldn't hide the fact that it was once the basement with concrete screed on the ceilings and all walls in orange textured paint.

We were greeted by wonderful owners who would do most anything to make our stay pleasant. This is a 3 story high apartment building (no elevator). We stayed in a 2 room suite in the 3rd floor. The place was clean but in needed some repair. The knob to turn the shower on was broken, the refrigerator was in need of replacement. The noise level from traffic was high. The window unit air conditioner was of no use in the 2nd room , once the door was closed. I know that these owners have been here less than 2 months and I believe that they will improve the facility with time.
