Nice beach with soft sand and cool rocks. Interesting red cliffs. Nothing crazy here, just a really nice beach!

Miles to walk in the sand and salt water and breathe the sea air - easy to stay too long - so good for the soul
I have long heard about this wonderful place and finally got to see it first hand. From the many quaint farms, to the red sandstone cliffs, to the crashing surf, each kilometer brought yet another memorable vista to photograph, to experience, to enjoy. Stop and smell the (rugosa) roses, literally.
Whether walking the beaches, board walks or sitting in the Adarondick chairs and watching the waves reach the shoreline, Cavendish Beach will stay in your memory forever. There are a few good size parking lots, outlooks and beach accesses.
Love the red sand, the dunes and the boardwalk. Great lookout spot at the beginning of the boardwalk and another one if you follow the boardwalk to a trail... 2km easy wal one way.
The beach at Cavendish is in the provincial park but we were there in mid September and there was no admittance fee. The beach is really amazing, just to walk in the extremely fine sand is quite the experience as you tend to sink down into it. There are changerooms and washrooms at the entrance ….bring your camera, a beach chair and feel the peace that PEI offers.
