There is nothing like the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. Peaceful, calming, and relaxing. Lots of sand...lots of area to walk and just enjoy the beautiful landscape.

Although is was a sunny day it wasn’t beach weather. The beach was a beautiful sandy beach with sand dunes. Lots of birds
Plenty of parking.
Soft red sand with lots of little creatures by the shore. There were only a few people there when we visited as it’s still a bit chilly in May. But I would imagine it’d be a hot spot in the summer time
We still remember the unique orange colored beach since our visit last summer. We enjoyed walking barefoot along the sandy beach while enjoying the warm sea breeze, the pebbles, the washed up jelly fish and the blue colored sky. A must-see PEI attraction.
So I should explain I am a redhead I look like a lobster after 10 minutes on the beach. For this reason I try to stay off the beaches. I have to say this beach is very relaxing. It wasn’t over populated. The people that were there were not rowdy or rude. It is a bit of a hike in from the parking lot but there is also the facilities there with food and washrooms etc. and there’s a really nice boardwalk that you can walk around on. But it is your standard red PEI beach. The beach was very clean it’s fairly shallow you can walk out quite a ways. The only thing was we did have a number of jellyfish floating around which may be a seasonal thing I don’t know. I highly suggest taking with you some bug spray if you’re going stay for the evening because there is stagnant water and mosquitoes in the evening. But it’s definitely worth staying and watching the sunset and if you’re brave getting up and watching the sunrise.
Beautiful beach - we unfortunately had bad weather this day and got rained out but we thought the beach was very nice. Not many places to get a bite (right on the beach) you have to leave the parking area - although re-entry is allowed with the day pass parking. You can drive to the boardwalk area with tons of restaurants and shops.
