It is said that the word ‘sand’ comes from a fusion of the word ‘sea’ and ‘land.’

This is a beautiful example of this joining of the two surfaces of our planet.

Sun bathed dunes leading to lapping waves, carrying the sounds of laughter and splashing of children through the grass and out to sea.

Bring a picnic, get a hot dog and fries, or a cooling ice cream on a shimmering day.

Clean facilities. Plenty of space. Friendly staff.

See you there!

A beautiful sandy beach but we've noticed significant erosion of the beautiful sand dunes since we last visited several years ago. Watched an absolutely gorgeous sunset. Very busy beach.

We saw the beach from the boardwalk along the cliffs and wish we had more time to enjoy the beach. Maybe next time, it looks amazing

Cavendish beach has clean soft sand. It is so long beach. The water is warm and not deap, so you can sit in water and play with your kids.

We were surprised to see this red sand beach. The place was rather quiet, and there did not appear to have any lifeguards in the section of the beach we visited. Fun to see, but rather cold to swim in.
