Me & my boyfriend were on a trip from Moncton and we wanted to discover Gaspésie while not being too far from Caraquet (NB), where we wanted to go to see the Tintamarre.
This camping has a great location. It is just by the beach. There is also a nice lighthouse that you can explore for free.
We had to wait for a long time (about 15-20 mins) before being able to register because there is only 1 person to do the check-ins, answer the phone and keep the cash register for the camping's small shop. However the staff is very nice.
The camping was almost full during the 2 nights we stayed there. You have different options to choose from depending on how many services you want and the size of your camping gear. We chose to stay on a small site with water ony because we just had 1 small tent. The sites are well indicated and each one of them has a picnic table and a fire pit. It would be even greater if you had more privacy, but it was okay. Of course, as the camping is by the beach, there are no trees, which means that all the sites are completely exposed to the sunshine.
The good thing is that you have a lot of sanitary points throughout the camping with several toilets and showers. However you have to pay for the showers. It's 25 cents for 2 minutes and it only accepts quarters.
We liked the fact that it was by the sea and that we were able to eat on the beach (there are multiple picnic tables). We also thought that this camping was worth the money we payed for it (about 22 CAD per night). I would recommend it.
