Amazing scenery, beautiful lodge, friendly and knowledgeable guides and great hikes. The food was also spectacular! It was a long drive for us but well worth it. The park is a real gem, with stunning scenery (gorgeous alpine views, moose sightings, beautiful waterfalls, a variety of trails, an eagle landing on a salmon stream and trying to pick up a fish in its talons right in front of us....). We also got to swim in a waterfall, try out electric mountain bikes and go in the sauna and hot tub. It was interesting to sit with an international crowd each night and share stories and insights. Important to know that most of the staff and patrons speak primarily French, but most are more than happy to translate (google translate was of no help as this lodge has no internet/wifi/etc). The guided hikes make the experience more interesting as they provide additional information about history, flora and fauna, but you can also go off on your own. This can be a very active trip, or you can read a book in a chair in the sun with a stunning mountain vista. The Auberge was incredibly clean, and all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. My only disappointment is that the Auberge is in a part of the park that has less of the truly alpine summits, some will need to make another trip to the park to see Mt Albert, etc.
