Nice location, but very dated and run-down. Bathroom was NASTY and my standards are not very high. There was hair and other unknown debris in and around the bathroom sink for the first two days until I finally cleaned it myself. Housekeeping basically only makes the bed and straightens up the room, don't expect it to be cleaned. The food in the restaurant was pretty good. Not the place to bring the wives/girlfriends. Okay for a guys fishing/drinking trip. Definitely NOT worth the price.

Room tip: Not sure if there is a "good" room.

This is an old time deep sea fishing resort on the sea of Cortez. The resort has excellent service and staffing for food and beverage. It is secluded and an older vintage style accommodations. Ideally they accommodations could use a makeover, so don't expect 4-5 star luxury. The ambience is old Mexico - but the service is excellent and captains and boats are very good.

We had to make a last minute change in our accommodations when our original place had a broken AC (not what you want in June). Through sheer luck we found the Buena Vista and it was perfect for us. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were super comfortable - and the AC was cold! The staff was very friendly and helpful. My daughter and her friends had amazing facials and massages. The beach is right there. Can't say enough great things about this hotel. Loved it.

Wow, out in the middle of nowhere and there is this green garden of beauty. The grounds are pretty nice and I really like the layout.
The meals were good and portions were adequate though certainly not bountiful. One must remember to get all of the answers up front or you will wind up getting taken for a few extra dollars. The staff were nice, but honesty is not always the first priority.

Room tip: Take plenty of cash. The ATM's they send you to do not work with American cards. Be careful

A beautiful beach, old buildings falling apart. Problems with water at the room, outdated furniture, dirty curtains from early 80s, and stinking mattress. Went there for a wedding, prices are high considering the facilites.
