We rented unit 1204 (Building 1). Relatives were in Building 3. While we did most of our eating at their place (both had useful kitchens), our rooms and beds were fine. Decorations were nice, and our porch was pleasant and spacious, with a 4 person table. Our prices were WELL below the snazzy resorts nearby, we felt very safe, and the location set us up for great adventures.
Office staff (off on Sundays) were helpful, and the gate guards were super. Be sure to get the gate key for quicker access to the restaurants (many excellent within a very short walk) and beaches below. The best beach for kids (actually called El Anclote) is a bit to the left, where there are few rocks. From the Condominiums, you can also walk around the town where locals live. We found the city tortilla maker!
I took two runs from the Condominiums. For the first, I took a right along the beach, but hit rocks. I ventured onto the golf course, but was thrown out and had to walk back along the rocks. Don't do this if you want to run! For the second, I ran up the hill to the OXXO and took a right on the main road, left onto a 4 lane road to seemingly no-where, then turned around and ran though the less tourist inhabited part of town, and then back home. This was much better.More
