Met up again with friends for another 3 night stay. Food and entertainment just as good.
Special mention must be made of Jesus our waiter in the dining room who was friendly, attentive and efficient.
Those with mobility issues may need to carefully select their room as some of the rooms are quite some distance from the central area where the bar/cafe/dining room are situated.

My wife and I have just recently returned from a fabulous break at ALVASTON Hall. On our arrival we were greeted by friendly and courteous staff. Really glad that we had taken advantage of an upgrade to a signature room which was offered a few weeks before our arrival. The room that was allocated (400) was first class and kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeping staff. On arrival at our table (123) for the evening meal, we received an added bonus when we learnt that the waiter for the duration of our stay was to be Jesus who looked after us so well on our last break in January this year. What a lovely guy, always cheerful, makes time to have a conversation with you and definitely goes the extra mile to ensure his guests have an enjoyable holiday. The choice quality and presentation of food by the catering staff was absolutely superb once again. Was a little disappointed to discover that Drew the entertainments manager had moved on but you have certainly got a more than adequate replacement in Kate. The Nightfall show her and the team performed with such energy and enthusiasm on Sunday night was an absolute knockout. Was also very impressed with Luke Sabatino on Friday nights show with excellent backing from The Black JACKS and the young girl operating the sound system. We booked another break while on site for April next year, must thank Sue for her patience and all the help she gave us in securing a great deal. Looking forward to our next break in January and hopefully meeting up again with "MY FRIEND" Jesus.

This was our first visit to a Warners Hotel (Alvaston Hall) Absolutely fantastic weekend - Firstly all staff are very friendly from the cleaners right through to Management with smiling faces always a "good Morning enjoy your day". Rooms are clean and of a good size, (apart from the shower cubicle which is a little on the small size for anyone 6'ft +. Food is amazing so much choice and of excellent quality & presentation. Entertainment team are hard working & obviously strive to make the entertainments enjoyable bringing total strangers together with laughter & banter. The grounds around Alvaston Hall are beautiful..............
QUESTION - is there a reason why iced water is served by waiting staff upon request at Dinner & jugs not placed on the table for guests to refill at leisure ? Same question with breakfast Coffee/Tea? We felt awful asking waiting staff for refills as they were extremely busy, where it would have been easier to help our selves - Nevertheless we had a fantastic weekend & will return 2018. - PS Warners Give your staff a pat on the back.... better still give them a PAY RISE as they do YOU very proud.

Room Tip: Room 62 was very convenient.

We are really happy to read that you enjoyed your first visit to Alvaston Hall and that you found our team smiley and friendly. Thank you for you comments in respect of the food, the entertainment team and it is nice to hear that they bring strangers together and also the grounds. It is our policy to serve water by the glass and also the breakfast tea and coffee, our team really do not mind replenishing your cups. We look forward to your return in 2018.

A great sixties weekend at Warners. Lovely location. Very obliging and friendly staff. Here at Alvaston is the best Warner lighting and sound engineer by far. Emily, she always produces a great show. Food was very good, service great.

This is the second Warner Hotel we have stayed at and we had an enjoyable weekend.
Alvaston's Reception area is a touch gloomy [its the dark wood furnishing] but the rest of the hotel is light ,airy and welcoming. Our room was fine and the bed was very comfortable. The bath was a little shallow but then I am 6ft 4ins tall so I am probably being unfair. Housekeeping was of a high standard has was the food. The staff are unfailingly polite and welcoming.
The entertainment [which is what Warner specialize in] is very good. The weekend we were there a Moody Blues tribute band were playing and they were pretty good.
The "in house" team were excellent. All very talented and modest with it. On the Sunday night there was a very good acoustic electric duo in one of the lounges...I was sorry I missed most of their set.
The only downside for me was that almost everyone seemed to go to bed not long after 10pm. Although I am well into my 70's I am raring to go at that time and dancing on a disco floor in a deserted theatre is not my idea of fun!
That's not the fault of Alvaston Hall however and if you are not a party animal this place is for you.

Room Tip: Room180 is pretty new and there is plenty of space plus a great bed

Our first visit to Alvaston and we’ve had a wonderful time. Signature Room in the Fairways wing is large and well appointed. The hotel and gardens are large but easily navigable. Food is excellent and staff very attentive. Entertainment varied and all of a good standard.
We will certainly come again and visit other Warner Leisure Hotels.

Only downside to the whole midweek break, was the average age of the guests. This by no means is any fault of the hotel, but they do cater specifically for the older guests. My wife and I are both in our mid fifties, and felt extremely young in comparison.
Check in - This was smooth and efficient, although they managed to lose a suitcase for 2 hours, in a hundred yards. This was resolved and no big deal. The allocation of a table for dinner, breakfast and entertainment was a master stroke, saving looking for a table at peak times.
Room - A little tired in places, but had everything required for an enjoyable stay.
Food - Excellent, everything from choice to quality, could not be faulted.
Entertainment - Numerous daytime activities were available, but the evening shows were superb, even the show put on by the entertainment team. Adam Lacey, as well as the Rockafellors were fantastic. Only one small issue, was the house band The Blackjacks, they sang the same set every night, and the older guy/ musical director with these thought he was both a comidien and singer. He was neither, just cringeworthy and embarrassing.
Staff - Very pleasant and helpful, one in particular was Jesus, our waiter for the break, he went the extra mile, to ensure we were well catered for.
Overall - This was as stated previously, a Relaxing and enjoyable break, with great food and good facilities / entertainment. We would return without question to either Alvaston Hall, or one of the other Warner hotels, as the whole concept worked.
