This little tea room is a fabulous gem of a find. Beautifully furnished, filled with vintage china and gorgeous collectibles for sale. Have been a couple of times. Each time we've visited it's been spotless with clean, freshly ironed tablecloths and the welcome is warm and friendly. There is a good selection of teas, coffees, cold drinks, freshly made sandwiches and home made cakes. Such a treat to be served tea in fine bone china. All at very reasonable prices. £7 for a pot of tea, sandwich and cake is unbeatable value and the quality is excellent. Must come back again sometime and make a booking for afternoon tea.

My wife & I moved back to the area just over a year ago & were on the look out for a 'welcoming' cafe.
We found Poppy's (& what a find). We were warmly greeted by the owner ('The' Poppy) who chatted to us as though we were long lost friends. Over the last year I have witnessed this many times & trust me it is 100% genuine.
The quality of the food & drink is fantastic, the cakes are all home made by Poppy herself & the jam is provided by her Dad. So, homemade cake & choice of drink for under £4 you would struggle to find better.
Added to that, Poppy also allows (Well behaved) dogs as well.
If you are ever in Northwich give it a try.

Lovely food and fab cakes. The high teas are a lovely treat and well worth it. There's several different teas to try and everything is hand made.
You can browse the antiques there which is different.
Treat yourself

Visited this afternoon and we were both very impressed. Such a clean and quirky tea room with upper floors of nik naks for a country cottage lifestyle on sale at decent prices. we had sandwiches of coronation chicken and tuna, with tea and a vanilla milkshake (see the pic) which were delicious. we will definitely visit again for afternoon tea at a cost of £11.95 per head (booking advisable) Keep up the good work and good service!
