This is a hidden gem in Northwich, Cheshire for someone wanting a good breakfast or for the weary traveller. It is on the A556 heading towards the M6 and Manchester (as you leave the large roundabout just beyond Robert's Bakery). You will see blue "no stopping, deceleration lane" signs. There is an outdoor picnic area as well as the cafe and clean toilets.
The cafe is clean and there are plenty of chairs and tables, or you can sit outside in good weather. Dave and family are welcoming and really care about what they do. The food is basic breakfasts and lunches (burgers, sandwiches etc.) and extras like ice creams. Portions are generous, good value and well cooked. Dave tries to source better ingredients than the usual roadside cafe or wagon. For example: the burgers are sourced from a local butcher and the sausages are bought fresh rather than frozen - not cheap ones from the cash and carry! Given this it is surprisingly good value. I regularly get a toasted sausage sandwich, two hash browns and a coffee to take away for £3.75.
Give them a try.
