We stayed in one of the newly refurbished 1 bed lodges after getting a last minute deal and had a fantastic time. It's the 2nd time we've visited Sandybrook (we've also visited their Darwin Forest lodges twice) and we really cannot fault it. The lodge was completely spotless, we had sufficient kitchen utensils etc and the fridge had a freezer compartment too so there was plenty of room for food and drink. The lodge has electric heaters and ours had an electric wood burner-style fire which kept the lodge nice and toasty. They are obviously well insulated as the heat was kept in all day. The hot tub on the decking was brilliant and the water was checked twice daily by staff so we were reassured it was nice and clean. The decking was secure so the dog could sit out with us too. Really peaceful under the night sky! The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. There is a shortish woodland walk around the outside of the lodges which sufficed for our dog. We would recommend visiting dovedale which is a 5minute drive away. There is a pub on site as well as a swimming pool. We didn't use either as we didn't want to leave the lodge once we got there! The whole site looked very festive with Christmas lights and we barely saw another person so it was lovely and peaceful. The lodges are all positioned in a nice discreet way so you wouldn't be bothered by neighbours. We will definitely return. We had such a great break.

Loved every minute of our break! The lodge was fantastic, so clean and was a brilliant size for 2 adults and our 9 month old baby. The pool although not huge was brilliant as there was never anyone in it! The small indoor play area was great for what we needed and the outdoor one was great too. We also ordered pizzas for take away and they were brilliant too! Cannot wait to go back!

We have been to many short breaks however this is the first one we you can truly start your holiday, with simple things that mean a lot from tea towels to washing liquid as we are all aware the small touches mean a lot. On arrival we where early however having taken my number the phoned and we were in the lodge well before the recognised start time, as the accommodation had a sauna spa bath it was a pleasant surprise to be supplied with more than enough towels to make good use of the facilities, clean smart and well cared for would highly recommend.

Family of 11 booked 2 lodges, 62 and 65, great spot at the top of the park. Both with beautiful hot tubs which had lots of use and enjoyment! Had our shopping delivered directly to the lodge an hour after arrival (asda)
Lodge well equipped, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, cloths and tea towels provided. One double and 2 twin bedrooms with room in the double for our own travel cot!
Swimming pool thoroughly enjoyed twice during our stay with the changing facilities ample and clean.
Beautiful meal in the coach house, with some coeliac and others picky in our party nothing at all was too much trouble for them! Great selection of wines and food very nice, I enjoyed the posh mushrooms on toast followed by the jerk chicken.
Hot tub checked twice daily by staff.
Great weekend, planning to come next year at least once and can't wait!
