A little bit flooded when we visited, but it is a lovely park with lots of Canada geese and some white ducks. Flowers had started to bloom, but I imagine it is much more colourful in the Summer months. Plenty for children to do here and a splash pool in the warmer months !

St. Oswald's is a lovely town Church, right in the centre of Ashbourne. The Clergy and congregation are very welcoming to visitors, as they were to us when we moved to Ashbourne this year. The church is very interesting and the graveyard is a picture in the Spring, with thousands of snowdrops and other bulbs.

This park is well maintained by experienced groundsman. There is a loverly play area with benchs to have a picnick or a rest. There is a buitiful memoral garden next to the play area with a memoral Bandstand and the famouse catheren booth statue. There is also public toilets on the memoral garden but they are open from April 8am-5pm and they are closed from the end of October for winter. This applys all year round. There are plenty of benches so you can sit down and have a rest. This garden is to remember all those soldiers who died protecting our country. In this area all dogs have to be kept on a lead at all times.

There is a sports field with plenty of open space. There is also 2 football pitches , 1 cricket pitch and 1 Rugby pitches on occastions they get booked to be used but if its not being used then you can use them. The park has been here for many years and it was left to the people of Ashbourne but looked after by the Council. Sadly theres no café located on the park but in summer the Ashbourne Cricket Club hire the pavilion and they sell food , cold drinks and hot drinks. There is also a lovely fishpond as well.
