St. Oswald's is a lovely town Church, right in the centre of Ashbourne. The Clergy and congregation are very welcoming to visitors, as they were to us when we moved to Ashbourne this year. The church is very interesting and the graveyard is a picture in the Spring, with thousands of snowdrops and other bulbs.

This park is well maintained by experienced groundsman. There is a loverly play area with benchs to have a picnick or a rest. There is also a splash pool on there working in summer but it gets switched of in winter i think end of October time. Dogs are not allowed on the play area and no smoking is allowed on the play area. There is also a court where you can play Tennis , Football and Basketball. There is no smoking and no dogs on the court.

There is a buitiful memoral garden next to the play area with a memoral Bandstand and the famouse catheren booth statue. There is also public toilets on the memoral garden but they are open from April 8am-5pm and they are closed from the end of October for winter. This applys all year round. There are plenty of benches so you can sit down and have a rest. This garden is to remember all those soldiers who died protecting our country. In this area all dogs have to be kept on a lead at all times.

There is a sports field with plenty of open space. There is also 2 football pitches , 1 cricket pitch and 1 Rugby pitches on occastions they get booked to be used but if its not being used then you can use them. There is a memoral Pavillion located on there to remember all those soldiers you died fighting for our country. On this location dogs has to be on there lead from 11am - 4pm 7 days a week all year round.

There is a free car park at the back of the pavilion and opisti the carpark there is a bowling green.

You can hire the Memoral Pavillion out at any time and you can hire the pitches aswell please call Derbyshire Dales District Council on 01629 761100 and ask to speak to the Parks Department.

The park has been here for many years and it was left to the people of Ashbourne but looked after by the Council. Sadly theres no café located on the park but in summer the Ashbourne Cricket Club hire the pavilion and they sell food , cold drinks and hot drinks. There is also a lovely fishpond as well.

Ashbourne Town Council has an event coming up which everyone is welcome. There will be Fireworks , Fair Rides and they sell Hot Food and Cold/Hot Drinks This event is on the Friday 4th November 2016 from 6pm. Fireworks get set off at 7:45pm Please come along and enjoy the fireworks. Free entry.

Memorial Service is taking place on the Sunday 11th November 2016 and will take place outside the Memorial Gates at 11am where many people will come along to see poppy's placed on the gate and they have a 2 min silence. Everyone Welcome

Please keep your eyes open on the Ashbourne Arts Festival and the Ashbourne Town Council websites for the 2017 events on the Park and in the Town Centre.

This Park is a enforced area so please make sure that you have your dog on you the lead at all times on the memorial Garden , 11am - 4pm on the sports field and no dogs are allowed on the play area at all and no smoking allowed on the play area as well. This is a super local park with plenty of green space, seating if you need it and plenty of room for ball games, walking the dog or just sitting and enjoying the peace and tranquility.
