I stayed here with my partner recently whilst visiting friends in the area as I used to live in Derby for 34 years and now live in Suffolk.
The coach house is a lovely old building and has immaculate gardens back and front. We were greeted on arrival with a warm welcome from the owner Beverley.
Our room was spotlessly clean, with an enormous bed and lovely white bed linen. The room was tastefully decorated with oak furniture and an ensuite bathroom, with all the toiletries you could wish for. Cotton buds and cotton face pads too if you have forgotten your own.
There was a Hair dryer and Ironing board in the room, television, free Wi-Fi.
The tea tray was full of different coffees tea and sweet treats which were all yummy.
Breakfast the following morning was a perfectly cooked, piping hot full English, with excellent quality, locally sourced ingredients.
There is fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurts, juice, home-made jam, and bottles of water. There is nothing to want for. (My gluten intolerant partner was also well catered for)
Beverley is a perfect host and is so easy to get on with.
It is so nice to be able to chat to people you have just met and feel like you have known them for years.
I have travelled a lot over the years and am very critical, but honest.
I have to say that we had a perfect nights...I stayed here with my partner recently whilst visiting friends in the area as I used to live in Derby for 34 years and now live in Suffolk.

I have to say that we had a perfect nights sleep and did not leave hungry.
If you want to stay somewhere in a nice little village with plenty to see, close to the city and local amenities in a place that feels like a home from home. (but you don't have to do the washing up or make your own bed) then this is the place for you. I am at a loss to think of anything else we could have wanted!
Excellent all round and definitely one to return to.More
