“Perfect”

We've just got back from the 2nd time of staying here. The cottage is fantastic with all the facilities you could want. With picturesque views and some fantastic walks from the door, what more could you want?

The log burner is brilliant on those cold December nights.

The Farmyard Inn is warm and welcoming. Make sure you get a table by the open fire l.

What a beautiful location and a superb little cottage. Everything you could need for a country side break. Right on the door step of the river Bradford. Ourselves and the dogs had an amazing time and would suggest this place to anyone. Be prepared for the hills.

Lovely cottage hidden away with fantastic view of the river. A perfect retreat after a long walk. Very cosy with a log burner. This cottage met all our needs.

“I perfect location”
Reviewed October 21, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

We stayed in Overdale for a long weekend and a lovely time. The cottage is situated in the beautiful village of Youlgraeve. We enjoyed going to the local butchers and grocers to stock up for the weekend. We ate twice in a nearby pub called the farmyard which has a fantastic atmosphere and very impressive food. The cottage itself was lovely and just a minute walk from the river. We went on lots of walks in the nearby area recommended by the owners in a useful welcome pack. We didn't want to leave.

“Mid week break”
Reviewed October 13, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Very cosy cottage in a lovely peaceful village, close to a number of attractions and walks. Would advise going to chadsworth hall for the day as we run our of time and only spent an hour there. Only complaint was that the sofa could be a bit more comfy/cosy when your cwtched up watching the wood burner in the evenings.

“Overdale is a gem of a cottage in a lovely setting”

We loved the cottage. It was well-furnished and equipped, and really well-maintained, and the addition of the roof-terrace was an inspiration. Everything about booking the cottage, finding it, and getting the key was made easy (except for the steep approach, of course. - it wouldn't be suitable for anyone infirm).
Silly of us to arrive just after the shops closed for a Bank Holiday, with only a few biscuits and teabags! Though no great problem, as two of the three good pubs in Youlgreave serve meals.

It was wonderful to be within sight and reach of Bradford Dale with its fascinating wildlife.
Youlgreave is blessed with friendly people. No downside at all - I won't mention WEATHER!
