“Fantastic holiday cottage in a beautiful area”
Reviewed 20 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We've stayed here twice now and have loved it both times. Its clean, has everything you could need and the location is fantastic - there are some really beautiful walks nearby. No doubt we will be visiting again in the future.

“Charming Cottage”
Reviewed 31 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

This cottage is equipped to a high standard, spacious, warm and comfortable. We especially appreciated the covered veranda at the end of our walks, taking off wet/muddy boots. Beautiful views to rear of property. Car parking directly outside cottage is possible but a tight fit! Also of note linen/towels are extra to the rental.

“Lovely cottage in a beautiful village”
Reviewed 15 December 2015 for a stay in December 2015

Spent a great weekend with our friends in this lovely cottage..it sleeps 6 but cud sleep 4 adults and 3 small children..it's spotlessly clean, with comfortable furnishings and the under floor heating was fabulous..the kitchen is quite spacious with everything you may need..even a dish washer.
You can take your own bedding and towels but for a fee they can be provided.
There's a nice garden at the rear of the property with lovely views..there's even a barbecue to use..the owners have thought of everything..there's even a few games.

..the village has 3 pubs where a great variety of food and drinks are available..Really nice and welcoming atmosphere in them..there are some fabulous walks around the village..but you need to take into account that it's not flat..sturdy shoes required..
Parking not great but it's a village what do you expect..
Bakewell is a short drive and there are a few great taxi services.
TOP TIP..
Pre book a table if you intend to eat in the pubs as they are so popular.
Take food basics with you there is not a great variety in the local shop..although a walk through the village there are some 'Honesty ' boxes for purchasing local home grown products, fresh eggs etc.
We wouldn't hesitate to return to this cottage or lovely location..

“Fantastic break”
Reviewed 3 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

A wonderful cottage in a lovely location. Great place to take the dogs, lovely walks and all the pubs were dog friendly. Pubs close by. Under floor heating in the cottage was fantastic. There was everything in the cottage and such beautiful views.

“Great location, beautiful cottage”
Reviewed 13 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

This is a fantastic cottage in a beautiful rural location. The Peak District is fabulous, and Youlgreave is a beautiful little town. The cottage is perfect for a family, clean, modern, spacious. The owner was excellent - clear communication, friendly. Highly recommend.

“Comfortable, well equipt, warm, well positioned cottage”
Reviewed 12 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Very nice village with pubs and a shop and lots of walks and sites nearby. House easy to book, no deposit to pay, friendly host. All the equipment we needed in this warm, comfortable and nicely decorated cottage.

Liked best: The decor of the house and the garden layout
Liked least: The horse chestnut tree in the next door garden slightly inhibiting the view.
