Larks Edge Alpacas was a spontaneous Sunday surprise for my partner (something I was very excited about too!) Colin very kindly arranged the walk for just the two of us at just a few hours notice which was so lovely. After driving nearly 2hours from Sheffield we were so warmly welcomed by Colin and Audrey. This is not a typical farm with Alpacas that are walked every day, this is Colin and Audreys family home and the beautiful menagerie of alpacas and pygmy goats are their family pets. Its the personal feeling of getting to meet the alpacas and experience a leisurely walk whilst all humming to one another-it turns out Jester likes to hum and we were more than happy to join in! Mr Darcy and Jester were the perfect gentlemen never once pulling on their leads on the walk. They are too cute for words and we both had to resist temptation to smother them with cuddles! I think it's safe to say that we have both made some firm friends and no doubt we will be back again once all their fleece has returned :) Colin and Audrey were truly the most wonderful hosts and it is so clear upon meeting the animals just how well looked after and loved they are. Larks Edge Alpacas provides a really wonderful day out and Colin and Audrey can even get visitors a rather nice discount at the local carvery-which was very tasty by the way thank you both for your hospitality, conversation and complimentary gifts. We really were blown away by such a fantastic day and look forward to seeing you again. Thank you so much, Holly & Iuri xx

You're always a little uncertain when you receive a gift that's a little different but we're so pleased you enjoyed your visit. Many thanks for your feedback. Say hello to the sturgeon for me.

We had a lovely afternoon walking Alpacas - Jester and Mr. Darcy, we learned a great deal about Alpacas and also spent time looking at the pygmy goats. I would go again and hope to visit again before too long!

Myself and my fiancé visited Larks Edge whilst on holiday in North Yorkshire, it was a surprise gift and I could not be more happy with how to day turned out.
Colin and his wife Audrey own Larks Edge and are the most wonderful people, the love that they have for working with Alpacas oozes out of them and is infectious. Our experience began with an in depth talk from Colin regarding the habitat and biology of the Alpaca. Colin is extremely knowledgeable and the talk was very interesting indeed. We had a chance to ask questions.

Colin and Audrey have for beautiful Alpacas, we were lucky enough to take Jester and Darcy for a walk through the local village and across a large field in the village of Dalton before returning to Larks Edge. It was a wonderful chance to get up close and personal with Alpacas under the expert hand of Colin and Audrey.

We also had the opportunity to buy some gifts from the gift stand including a cuddly toy Alpaca and a key ring. I would recommend to buy something for any young relatives you may have!

In summary this was a truly wonderful experience, we felt at ease in the expert hands of Colin and Audrey. The experience was great value for money and if you love Alpacas then this is a ‘must-do’ as you get to see these wonderful animals up close and personal. Thank you Colin and Audrey and all the best.

Many thanks for your kind words - we aim to please and share our experiences. We're not a 'big attraction' but perhaps that means we have the time and enthusiasm to make sure all visitors thoroughly enjoy their time with us and the boys.

Leaving everything till the last minute two days before my mums 83rd birthday I emailed lots of alpaca places to see what we could organise. My requirements were quite specific as my mum is limited with mobility and alpacas in the distance with a nice cafe to watch from wasn't quite the experience I was planning Colin at Larks Edge emailed with a clear idea of what they could offer. A quick phone call and a juggling of his diary and we were booked in.
We headed off from pontefract and following the precise directions we arrived to be greeted by Colin, Audrey and the four alpacas. Two hours later we'd wandered with alpacas, stroked alpacas, fed alpacas and Pygmy goats and had a lovely time. Helped by Colin and Audrey, who obviously love their alpacas, my mum had managed to walk with Mr Darcey. We learned so much about these fascinating creatures. They're obviously contented alpacas living happy lives that occasionally involve being walked by guests to Larks Edge. For a peaceful relaxing experience in good company (both human and alpaca) Larks Edge is highly recommended
THANKYOU for such a lovely afternoon. It was a birthday to remember
