overall, our experience was a pleasant one. however, one of my treatments (facial) was performed by a woman who smelt hungover and had shaking hands. So wasn’t very relaxing in the end, to be honest I just wanted it to be over. My other treatment was more like 30 mins, not the 40 mins I paid for.
Another major let down was dinner service. Despite lots of staff, most seem to not quite know what they’re doing, and don’t communicate with each other whatsoever. I had to ask 5 waiters for our vegetable sides. They brought them out eventually, when we had nearly finished our dinner and then tried to charge us for 3 portions on the bill when we only had 1.
Lunch here however was brilliant on both days - different waiters with perfect service.
The grounds and spa facilities/changing rooms are fantastic. The building itself is also very impressive. It’s just a shame that other areas aren’t up to scratch.
Considering the price we paid for everything - which was absolutely extortionate in the end - you’d expect top notch on everything from start to finish. A bit of a shame really. Most likely won’t return.More
