This was a great night in the shepherds hut. The family were friendly and the facilities were excellent and very clean.
The shepherds hut was warm all night long and the peace and relaxation waqs really brillant.
A lovely gem of a place. We only had one night here late arrival and left early but we made the most of our stay. What a beautiful plot, the hut itself is spotless and very cute, great to have a DVD player the bed very cosy and comfy, the little unique touches are fab especially the homemade lemon drizzle cake. Breakfast being delivered in the sunshine on the decking topped off our stay. The Wonkey donkey swing in the woods was well used by us (big kids) the toilet and shower were approx 20 metres away very clean.
We had a BBQ bring your own charcoal! And it was idealic. We will certainly be recommending to our friends. Welldone Sue and Mark.
We had a 1 night stay at Compass Corner and couldn't have been happier. The hut is BEAUTIFUL as is the location. The photos don't do it justice. Best mini break we've had due to the gorgeous hut, amazing location, wonderful breakfast, thoughtful little touches and total relaxation. We LOVED it. Thank you! xx
Superb setting, beautifully equipped shepherds hut and a warm welcome. Breakfast delivered at requested time and it was delicious, as were the chocolate brownies which we discovered on our arrival. The only down side was having to walk to the toilet which was in the garage , not a problem until 3 o'clock in the morning. Would I stay again? Definitely.
We stayed over for one night following on from a wedding and could not have been more impressed. The owners clearly have put a huge amount of effort and time into making the hut both luxurious and have an authentic feel. Really welcoming and breakfast was amazing!
We wanted to get away to celebrate our wedding anniversary . We couldn't have asked for anything more . The shepherds hut was so cozy and the surroundings idyllic . It was so lovely we didn't bother to go out just stayed in and had a bbq on the two nights we stayed . There was no aeroplane noise despite being close to Gatwick and the deer made an appearance on our first evening . Breakfast being delivered in the morning was a real treat and the lemon drizzle cake on arrival was to die for . Sue and Mark were exceptional hosts . We would recommend this to anyone .

My wife and I recently stayed at this charming, idyllic Shepherds Hut. Our hosts - Mark and Sue - were wonderful and made us feel very welcome. If an escape from the busy lives we lead is what you're looking for then this is the place to go. Life feels so simple, quiet and laid back here - so much so that while we were sat outside the hut, enjoying watching the sun setting, 6 deer wandered in to the field that surrounded us. In the morning Sue brought us a delicious breakfast basket and we then had a walk through the Bluebells in the wood that back on to the hut. Truly a wonderful stay and we can't wait to go back!
