Called in on our way up, the lady cooking was very honest and said that it would be a 20 minute wait. She squeezed us in and got us on our way with two fresh chicken sandwiches. Well done

Visited today after a great day at Cape Tribulation. Arrived at 230pm and thought we would give Masons a try for a late lunch. Staff seemed frazzled and very hurried. Maybe it was just a bad day perhaps. The location is great and the makings for a very profitable business.

Just about the only store in Cape Trib and it is well stocked for the basics and serves pretty decent food.

Thought we would go to try the croc burgers which were ok but but not spectacular. The chicken & salad was greasy and tasted strange (not like chicken). The cook prepared the meals using her bare hands, I only hope she washed them first. Overall the place was grubby, would not go back.

Loud rock music, a sign showing the way to a croc free swimming hole, a store, a deck with a handful of guests, sticky tables, a sliding door to the counter - that was our first impression. At second glance we saw a plate with some miniature burgers adorned with a cardboard reading Croc, Emu and Roo on one of the sticky tables - and yes, it looked inviting. At third glance there was the counter directly in front of the kitchen and a cerberus-reminiscent lady taking the orders and watching over the sliding door... Could have been a scene from an Australian road movie... We ordered two of the miniburger tasting plates with taro chips. While we both liked the kangaroo we both disliked the emu and we found the croc tasting merely of the seafood sauce it had been topped with. An interesting experience - nothing more, nothing less.
