Where do we start.... We arrived here late in the afternoon from Longreach, the girls in the office were amazing! Thank you Amanda for such a friendly check in experience.
We were escorted by a young gent to our site that we got to chose. Beautiful large green shady sites with views of the lake.
We ordered Meals on Wheels for our first night, Spring Rolls were incredible, Redclaw pizza to die for!
Wine and beer on TAP! $5 schooners and $5 wine on tap. Well needless to say we ended up staying a week and joining in on Happy Hour every afternoon.
Even had a few yummy cocktails.
Met a few local park visitors who go redclawing, very interesting!
Definitely will be back! 10/10

Nice caravan park, clean, good facilities such as camp kitchen, clean amenities and antenna points provided with powered sites, as there is no TV signal without them. The red claw were not as plentiful as we would have liked, and apparently the fishing was good, but a licence is needed for fishing, but not for red claw, that seem to like pumpkin and rock melon. It is a bit of a walk to the water from the caravan park, but there is a nice clean pool there. For caravan's, it is $35 a night for a powered site for 2 people, and try to avoid using the store there as it is quite expensive, so call in at the shops in Emerald before driving out there, as it is about 15 to 20 mins from Emerald. As long as you have a small boat, you will catch red claw, in about 3 to 5 metres deep in the water but chances are not so good throwing in pots from the banks. The caravan park hires out small boat trailers for $5 day, and the boat ramp is close and easy to use.

Thanks LisaQuain for your review,
In regards to TV reception- 50% of people actually get reception with their own antenna, we just provide TV points for those who don't.
The water is only a 100m walk away from the park (the same distance as the boat ramp)
Our shop is very reasonably priced given that we are not Woolworths or Coles and travel in ourselves daily to pick up fresh supplies for our guests.
Redclaw- This time of year is actually perfect for catching redclaw from the banks. And 2m of depth is plenty deep enough- any deeper as you say is just the wrong temperature for the redclaw.

We hope you visit again :)

Thank you

We spent 3 weeks here and we loved it, great spot & walking distance to the lake, some sites you can overlook the water. There is a dog section but unfortunately no lake view from these sites. Staff very helpful, amenities are excellent, very nice pool, most sites have concrete slabs, some sites would be squeesy if you have a boat. Lake side cafe which has pizzas

We stayed at the park for a few days and then extended our time. The place is beautiful. The staff were amazing. The loo blocks were clean and the park was tidy. The locals at the bar and red claw beer was beautiful. The only thing was our pots were raided, no fault of park. We will be back.

We spent the night in our van in this park on the edge of a large fresh water lake. The park is very well appointed with modern, clean amenities. This is situated about a half hour out of Emerald, Queensland.
