Because of all the good things I have heard about Aldo's, I have been wanting to eat here for a long time. I ate here on a business lunch in December and liked it so much, I came here again for lunch yesterday. Had the same wonderful, friendly waitress each time. The bread was great, the salad was great and each time I ordered the eggplant Parmesan because it's fabulous! The nice quiet atmosphere is great for a meeting. Service was very quick. They also make a great cappuccino!

Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared starting with the sautéed calamari, crusty bread, flavorful red sauce heavy with onions, to the meatballs and chicken cacciatore. Even the side salad was good with a variety of lettuce and vegetables.

I've read all the amazing reviews and heard from people in my neighborhood how great this place is... I don't get it. Have these people lost their tastebuds in a freak accident?! The piccata had 0 flavor, none. The chicken had an off texture, and the spaghetti that came with the dish was swimming in a bland tomato flavored water. Nothing seemed seasoned and the homefries (home fries as a side with piccata and pasta?) were freezing cold. Everyone's food looked the same. There are like ten things on the menu and is missing some very basic dishes. Very weird how this place has such an amazing reputation! The service was good and the wine was good... that's about it. My husband suggested leaving and eating at Skyline Chilli. That says all you need to hear.

We have been going there for years, recommended by a neighbor who happens to be Italian. Easily one of the best Italian restaurants in Cleveland. Small place and weekends could be crowded even on Sundays so get there early. Their seafood dishes are excellent. I look for the sautéed frog legs when they have it and the Frutti de Mare is always fresh. Moderate price about mid $20 and higher per dish.

The food was good and the service excellent!! The place is very small --- not very much atmosphere but the food more than makes up for it.
