Located about 10 minute drive from Monopolli (£20 taxi). Free bikes to rent, few minutes walk from restaurants on sea front, very nice outside area with nice pool and pretty setting. Nice terrace for drink in the evening. Room was quite nice, staff helpful and provided what was needed for the room. Very clean room and area. Breakfast ok, big selection of hot and cold breakfast. Looked like it was pretty quiet for dinner in September so we went elsewhere. Fair few local restaurants closed for dinner in September. Staff provided pool towels. Very short walk to lots of nice beaches!!

Masseria Fortifica Donnaloia is a peaceful welcoming place with a lovely swimming pool and nice places to sit and rest away the day; there is also a free shuttle with free entry to a private beach; the use of bicycles was also free.
The bedroom was good, however the air conditioning was noisy and ineffective until the wooden grille was removed, the shower was also very small.
The dinner in the restaurant, especially the fish cooked over salt was exceptional; breakfast was fine, but beware of the Americano Coffee and request a cappuccino instead.
The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

The Masseria in itself is very nice and the service staff very friendly. However there are a few things that the hotel can "work on"..WHY open the pool area at 10 and especially WHY close at 18.00...that time of the day when the temperature is nice, and if you would like to take a morning swim before breakfast you are not allowed to do that. A huge breakfast buffet with a lot of sweets...little too much but it depends if you from Italy or not we guessed!! We hade two dinners,...very nice on the terrace and we suggest that dinners always could be served there...and there was high difference's between the dishes...some high..some very low and in general should a hotel with this standard do better. The waiter should definately know what they are serving when we ask :-). However it is at nice stay but with potential to be even better...

Room Tip: Rather noisy from the room above and even from the room close to ours.

This hotel has beautiful grounds in a country setting among olive trees. Restaurant on site, but restaurants are nearby and walkable. Spent three nights here in mid October on a bicycling trip. All services were above average. We liked the rooms, on a courtyard, with large opening windows. Breakfasts and one dinner were exceptional as well. Recommend.

This slick seaside hotel with pool was an ideal starting point for our touring holiday in Salento, and we spent two nights here.
Courtyard room was fine, pool area with loungers was much appreciated as we began to chill, but after trying out the restaurant on the first night found it a bit too formal for our tastes with pretty average food.
The breakfast spread, on the other hand, was standout - everything you could want from fresh fruit and cold cuts to biscuits and cakes, with the range of stuffed croissants getting a big thumbs-up.
Pleasant staff and good facilities, but on reflection a little bit too much 'high tone hotel hush' for our tastes.
