Had a great meal. Food was unique and not overly seasoned or heavy. Great for the vegetarian. Highly recommend the croquettes--delicious. Light and airy, delicious. I am not big on vegan food but the relleno was to die for. Of my meat eating companions, the steak and cod were considered near perfect. The staff was available and friendly. I had a ginger gin drink which was good (no mistaking the ginger) and my husband felt the manhattan was superior.

Cowell & Hubbard was a high end jewelry store on Euclid Avenue in days gone by. When Zach Bruell chose the location for one of his restaurants, he kept the name, and thus changed the building from a repository of geological gems to one of culinary gems. We have never had a bad meal at C & H, and last night after the show at Playhouse Square, was no exception. The service and food are excellent, and the location on Playhouse Square is perfect for a before the play or after the play meal.

Very attentive staff and the food was good. Pre show meal is solid and the best option is the district if you are going to the show. Service was well timed for getting to the seats on time.

This eatery, directly on Euclid Avenue and next to the wonder of Playhouse Square, is a delight in taste and budget. We stayed in town to take in a musical in Playhouse Square. We went to the restaurant without reservations, but were still warmly received and well treated. The friendly staff are high energy, big smiled and engaging. The food is abundant and well prepared. The price was medium, but the fare and service absolutely first rate.

Delicious seafood dumplings-so delicate, amazing sauce! in sharp contrast to the equally delish but somewhat truckstopish Mussels and Frites- a nice size portion of mussels piled with perfectly crispy fries and aioli-wow! We laughed because the man ordered the charming dumplings and his female companion (me) got the bowl of fried heaven with extra mayo. Lovely!!!
