“Good value, tasty food”
Reviewed 15 March 2012

Stopped here spontaneously after the West Side Market and we weren't disappointed. Quick, cheap eats. We had the lentil soup and the schawarma.

“MIddle Eastern Cuisine - Best of the Basics - Comfort Food”
Reviewed 22 October 2011

I no longer live in Cleveland, but twice a year when we visit family, Nate's is a must do!

If you enjoy traditional Middle Eastern cousine, or are willing to give it a try, Nate's is THE place to go. This is the Middle Eastern version of comfort food and while it is hard to describe, it just doesn't get any better than this. Tops are the fried kibbe, hummus, baba ganoush, but the list goes on, everything on the menu is excellent.

The food is very fresh, the flavors sparkling in their simple goodness, even beginners to this cousine can rest assured that nothing hitting the palette will taste odd or funny, just rich and yummy.

The restaurant is simple, a somewhat narrow space in the old style brick storefront area of Cleveland's near Westside. Just down the street from the Westside Market (a national landmark, but that's another review), booths on both sides with a row of small tables in the middle and a couple of elevated tables in the windows on both sides of the entrance complete the description.

It's all about the food, with a diner kinda vibe, except with Lebanese inspired Middle Eastern basics.

What more can I say, just GO!

“If I were on death row and had to choose a last meal it would be Nate's Deli.”
Reviewed 10 September 2011

My ex wife dragged me hear 15 years ago and I can honestly say this is the best thing she ever gave me. The food is consistently fantastic the people are super nice and know many customers by name. You absolutely cannot go wrong here. If you are shopping at the West Side Market stroll over to Nates for a Shish Twook sandwich and some Hummous you will be hooked first bite.

“Addictive, Authentic Lebanese”
Reviewed 9 February 2011

Nate's is a narrow space near the West Side Market. If you park in the back, you enter through the kitchen, where the cooks are prepping all manner of treats, from raw kibbe to fattoush. The hommus is excellent, as is the sharwarma. FWarm, fresh pita is served in a bag, but there probably will not be any to take home! Jammed at lunchtime, but well worth the wait!
