What a wonderful gem in Euclid! It is conveniently close to I-90 so even though we live quite a bit away, it really didn't take to long to get here and they have a nice fenced parking lot in the back. Marta is the owner and the evening we were there, she did everything from greeting us through waiting on us, cooking our food and serving us drinks. She also spent a lot of time talking to us. She works very hard and produces a great dinner. We were a group of five that have all been to Prague several times and have Czech heritage, so we know what to expect food-wise and Marta delivered. Before going, my husband was hoping they had Svíčková (beef sirloin in cream sauce with a berry compote) the Czech national dish. There menu does not mention it, but after reading some other reviews, we learned that what is labeled as Suabraten is really Svíčková. It was really good and should definitely be tried as you cannot get it anywhere else in Cleveland that I am aware of. It also takes quite a lot of time to make at home, so let Marta do it for you! Besides the menu, there are specials on a board over the bar. I was excited to see the Segedínský Guláš (Pork & Sauerkraut Goulash) on the menu because I love Pork Goulash and always figured adding Saurkraut would be delicious, and just like the Svíčková, it is hard to find in Cleveland. It was heaven and there was enough for me to take for lunch the next day. Our other two entrees were the Chicken Schnitzel and the Chicken Paprikash - both large portions and enjoyed. Dinner comes with a choice of soup or salad and delicious soft thick white bread. For beer enthusiasts, Marta has all the Czech beers on tap. For wine enthusiast, she has some nice selections by the glass and it is a large pour. And last, for the person with a sweet tooth, what could be better than Strudel! If you are concerned about crowds, go on a week night and you will have no problem getting a table. You can't get this type of meal anywhere else in Cleveland, we will definitely be going back soon.

Hole-in-the-wall local ethnic bar, tucked away in an old house next to a pizza shop, but this neighborhood favorite is the place to go for authentic Czech food and beers in a old fashioned atmosphere. There are only a handful of tables next to the bar, and the walls are decorated with posters and memorabilia from Prague. Very definitely a family operation, and Marta herself does everything with a little help. The food is delicious and plentiful. Several types of schnitzel, chicken paprikash, goulash, pierogies, spaetzle; the hardest thing is choosing. I recommend the chicken schnitzel, but the paprikash is a close second. The Friday fish fries are always very popular. Large selection of Czech beers, German beers, and German wine. The riesling was excellent. Because everything is home made, don't go there for a quick meal. Enjoy the ambiance and socialize with the other diners while you wait. The background music is all Czech, and it's a little surprising to hear a Brenda Lee song in that language. This place is an experience not to be missed! Come hungry! And don't expect it to break the budget. The only slight negative is the potato pancakes are very average. One side was overdone, and it wasn't crispy as we like them.

Great authentic old-world food that you can hardly find anywhere anymore. We ordered chicken paprikash and sauerbraten which were absolutely delicious and the prices were extremely reasonable. There are very few tables for the number of customers; so if you don't want to eat your dinner at the bar, go early. Also, plan to be there a while because there's one person doing the cooking - Marta, and there's only one waitress for the whole restaurant. For us, it was worth the wait. The food was really good!

Visited just after a review was published in the paper.
Probably not a good decision. The place was empty when we arrived just after opening time. By the time we left, there was standing room only and the service suffered because of the crowd and all the orders going to the one person kitchen. My schnitzel with mashed potato and gravy was fantastic and my wife's paprikash was also very good. We had potato pancakes and pierogi as starters which were both just average, neither were served hot. The server was pleasant but just overwhelmed with the crowd size.
We will try it again on a less busy night.
