The museum defies description. Don't judge a book by its cover when entering the parking lot - logistically, it is easier to enter through the back door than the front.
Located in an old Catholic school, there are more items than I can begin to list. Relics from several saints and Popes, their collection is overwhelming. You can tell this is a labor of love - there are no hard solicitations or even donation boxes, which might be a good idea to start including in the tour. They have a very small gift shop set up with rosaries and crucifixes - many of the rosaries are over 100 years old.

As a Catholic, the museum is spectacular. Family friendly and fascinating.

As a side note, museum founder Father Lutz arrived and gave us an incredible guided tour.
The 9-year old and two teenagers in our group loved him!

My husband had read about this museum and wanted to go and check it out. We have four children, ages 16 to 6 and I can honestly say that they all loved our tour. Fr. Lutz and a seminarian (so sorry, but I can't remember his name) were awesome! They gave us a tour of the museum and were very personable and knowledgeable. They made it really fun for our kids by including them, asking them trivia questions and even letting our oldest play some of the old organs since he plays piano and organ. They have a treasure trove of music, musical instruments, vestments, nativity sets, photos, books, bibles, pictures, church altars, candles, statues . . .you could visit often and still see new things every time you go.

We love that they try to rescue sacred items and then find them a new home to get them back into service. We were captivated by the stories behind so many of the objects in the museum.

Highly recommend this museum. We will definitely visit again next time we are in Columbus. If you appreciate history, beautiful art and fabulous tour guides, go check this place out.

This place is certainly not eye-catching from the outside, but inside -- inside it's filled to the brim with fascinating objects that will enhance your appreciation and knowledge of the Catholic faith and its history. The docents are well-prepared to guide you through room after room of altars, books, vestments, memorabilia, etc. My friends and I plan to go again soon.

What a wonderful museum, filled with historic treasures of Christianity ! I was present during Cardinal Burke's visit to Columbus, and was amazed by the collections. What amazed me most were the stories associated with the different pieces which gave a very personal touch ! May God continue to bless and enrich their mission in the preservation of Church/Christian culture and artifacts !
