The hotel has a fabulous location and great food. The seRvice is kind and warm howeveR the rooms need a big face lift. The bathrooms and bedrooms don't just have an old world sir but are gloomy and quite run down.. takes away fry the wonderful experience of being in such a fabulous location . Love the gardens and landscaping. But wouldn't be able to spend much time feeling cost in the room.

Lords is a heritage hotel. Its location is one of the best in Matheran. But the property rooms need better furniture and some maintenance.

1. The rooms were very average as compared to the price charged. The bed sheets and other stuff were not that clean.
2. Food is expensive
3. Not recommended for people who is expecting loud music and lively games. It is a very peaceful resort.
4. The owner is very sweet and cooperative. He deserves a five star in his cooperation, but the furniture and other amenities shall also be up to the mark.

It is a Heritage Hotel and has an old world feel to it. Ambiance and view from valley facing rooms were very good.

I would definitely recommend to stay in this hotel, if you can arrange for food from Outside, food quality needs to be improved. They even charge for Ice, that was the most disappointing part.

Apart from food Quality everything else was good.

We were here for 3nights with our almost one year kid, to start with, the location of this hotel is excellent with beautiful scenic view of valley, overlooking the pool..
Room number 7 has the best view though we didnt not get that room.
Food is average with fixed menu in lunch and dinner..Staff is very courteous, and can bend backwards to serve you.
It is a very old property which is very well maintained with all basic facilities.. Frequent power cuts is a problem here but for a short time.. overall this is an excellent property to stay

It’s a fantastic place managed by a Parsi family. Awesome food.. Rooms are not fancy, but good. Value for money. Non-intrusive environment. Truly, one can relax. I would rate it as one of the best places in the location.
