We've stopped at Briarfields on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. This time though was exceptional.
We wanted somewhere that we could celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary and also take our young dog. Briarfields fitted the bill perfectly.
What made it really special though was that our family and friends had contacted the hotel in advance and requested that we be upgraded to a super deluxe room (it certainly was), that we had chapagne waiting for us on arrival (it was, and it was delicious) and that the room was decorated with 40th Anniversary banners and balloons which were sent there in advance (it most definitely was and we are so grateful to the house staff for setting this up).
Balloons on our table at dinnertime was the finishing touch.
Unfortunately, later in the evening my wife had a medical incident (not alchohol or food related) where the care and attention shown by the staff was professional and very reassuring. My wife made a full recovery in a short time so our weekend was not spoiled.
A lovely breakfast this morning served by very attentative staff made the whole weekend so memorable.
The hotel facilities were superb, and the safe and enclosed exercise area behind the hotel where I could allow our dog to burn off her excess enegy made the hotel (in our opinion) the best in North Norfolk.

A warm welcome, smooth check-in and friendly staff at this lovely hotel. Beautiful room, comfy bed and pillows and quality bedding. Super spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and a huge bath. Food was delicious, including the vegetarian breakfast. The hotel is spacious but has a cosy and welcoming atmosphere with a bar, nooks for lounging by the fire and a bookshelf of board games. What more could you want! Our room was roadside and there was road noise but minimal traffic overnight so it didn’t disturb our sleep. We stayed for one night DBB with friends and we’ll definitely be returning.

Quite possibly the best hotel on the North Norfolk Coast. I have used this hotel often over the last few years and will be back again in February 2024. The rooms are large and furnished well and cleaned to the highest standards. The bathrooms are also large and the showers are well received after a long day walking; the experience is added to by the best shower gel I have ever encountered in a hotel.

The breakfast is superb no matter what you have and I have eaten in the restaurant a couple of times and never been disappointed. The whole experience is topped by pleasant and engaging staff.
