A fantastic base from which to explore a beautiful part of the country. This holiday rental property was spacious and has all the facilities that you would require for a short stay. We really enjoyed our stay here, our 19 month old daughter particularly enjoyed exploring the large garden meeting the chickens and other wildlife. The owners were both friendly and welcoming, they provided our daughter with a travel cot and toys. I would recommend the Grain Store unreservedly.

We were looking for a relaxing place to stay for the Bank Holiday weekend and The Grain Store was the perfect choice. Couldn't have been better! Beautifully situated with great views over the fields. The property has a real personal feel and it was very welcome to find both milk and wine in the fridge on our arrival. We are looking forward to returning!
Thank you Mark and Sarah.

This is an ideal sized accommodation for three, and has all the modern facilities you would need. It's very cosy, comfortable and clean and the owners are very friendly and kind if you ask for their assistance. There are wonderful pastoral views from the main window. It's very quiet and tranquil here and there are safe and enjoyable cycling routes into Southwold, which takes around forty minutes, or you can continue on to Walberswick along similar traffic-free lanes. (The owners offer free secure storage for bicycles.) Uggeshall is well placed and tourist attractions like Dunwich, Aldeburgh and Thorpeness are all just a short drive away if you feel like a change from Southwold.
We've stayed here several times now and know that we'll return again in future.
We had an amazing stay the Grain Store was so homely and Mark and Sarah couldn't have been more helpful (we forgot our son's bike helmet and Mark appeared with one for us to borrow together with wonderful safe cycle routes suitable for a nine year old!!)
The accommodation was warm and cosy, brilliantly equipped and located far enough away from Southwold to enjoy the Suffolk countryside but pop into the seaside excitement in minutes. Our son loved the clock on the pier.
We look forward to future visits and highly recommend it.

We chose The Grain Store in Uggeshall as it was just far enough away from the busyness of Southwold to make us feel we were in the middle of nowhere while only being a 10 min drive away.
Its was ideally suited for the two of us with a perfectly appointed kitchen and utensils for doing 'real' cooking. Unlike some places which have only the bare minimum.
The large south facing window at the end of the room let the sun stream in every morning which was great start to the day.
A perfect get-a-way for two.

The Grain Store is a very comfortable, well-converted and quiet location from which to explore the Suffolk coast. Although you will need a car or bike, there are plenty of quiet walks along footpaths in every direction. It is in a lovely setting among the wheat fields from which to view the big Suffolk skies and stars at night, and the Butts are very welcoming in allowing guests to spend time in their large gardens and grounds. The conversion has some low ceilings, which might affect very tall people, and although there is a bath there is no fitted shower, but the place is very well equipped.
