After such a nice visit in 2017 i just wanted to return and relax in the Tea Garden and enjoy some spring sunshine and good food.
This visit i was able to be with my Girlfriend, Maya who was in the UK on holiday from Malaysia.
Although the full summer menu was not available due to it being early April, we found it easy to find something we wanted.
We both had the cream tea and i had an additional prawn roll.
Lovely piping hot English Tea in lovely crockery and yummy warm scones with lovely strawberry preserve.
Just one small negative which if corrected would raise the cream tea offering even further, and to me very important.
Please use Clotted Cream not whipped double cream to be served with the scones. It just has to be Clotted Cream!!!
Maybe a cost issue? But a real cream tea uses Clotted Cream and it was missed but still enjoyable due to the quality of the scones and Tea.
Prawn roll was lovely and nicely garnished.
We will return in the summer again, looking forward ti the crab salad when in season.
Would love to get a responce about the Clotted Cream !?

We dropped in here for tea and cake whilst on a circular walk from Southwold. It was VERY cold outside so a pit stop at this cute little tea shop was extremely welcome. The tea was tasty and the slices of cake were delicious, a decent size and very well presented.

Walberswick needs more competition which might mean this tea room could not get away with overpriced snacks and rip off prices. Tucked away in the corner of the shop. It may be better in the garden - but this was December. Limited choice. Pot of weak organic tea and glass of ginger beer came to £5.50. Cream teas with just one scone - I heard the explanation given to a customer that they had reduced it from 2 scones because people often left one or shared the scones. A shame because it could be so much better but I think it is taking advantage of there being no where else to go in the winter.

We had morning coffee here after walking from Southwold with our dog. We had been here in the past and remembered it as pricey but worth it. The coffee and toasted teacakes were excellent, and the lovely walled garden and old fashioned crockery made it an idyllic hideaway from the cold gale blowing. I even got a friendly robin to take a crumb from my hand.
The service was cheerful and quick and some pleasures are worth paying a bit extra for.

I have to agree that it is a bit overpriced but the cream tea was lovely and the scones were big buggers and 10 out of 10 for the cuppa. Pretty little tea garden. Good service.
Inside seating area within the shop.
