I think I could get used to glamping! The Sunflower hut had everything we needed and it was so cosy with the wood burning stove. It really was like staying in a miniature cottage. Thanks Tina!
We spent two nights in Poppy shepherd’s hut last week and very much enjoyed our stay. The weather was sunny but freezing cold, so the wood-burner was essential and definitely kept us warm and cozy all evening and throughout the night. The bed was comfy and the duvet lovely and warm. We cooked in the hut both evenings and had all the cooking equipment we needed. The slow-cooker was especially useful.
The plug-in freezer box was adequate but a small fridge would probably be better, especially in the summer. The bathroom was adequate, although very cold, but fine once you were under the hot shower. All facilities were spotlessly clean.
It was lovely to wake up to the sound of a woodpecker in the woods and to see the stars at night with no light pollution. A truly peaceful place to stay.
We had lunch at The Vineyard, Lamberhurst, which was lovely. We visited Scotney Castle, Bodiam Castle, Bewl reservoir and even got to Hastings to see the new pier - all within a reasonable driving distance.
Such a beautiful area full of pretty villages and hidden gems, and Blue Caps is in a great location from which to explore.
January really not the right month, ground was so muddy, due to lots of rain. We actually only stayed one night as my husband was to unwell to stay the whole weekend. Would only ever go again in the summer. Not a bad place but really not for us. The only thing I didn't agree with was The price of the breakfast, not worth the £12 price. Overall a nice cozy little hut
We stayed in the Poppy Shepards hut, which is an absolute delight. We recommend the bedding deal so you don't have to pack this in your luggage and the breakfast hamper without hesitation. It's enough to sustain you for both mornings, well worth the money and the bacon and apple juice, among other things, are locally sourced and delicious. The only thing that wasn't included was milk so remember to bring your own. Also bring your own music player if you want to listen to music.
You get given all the necessary tools and supplies to make up the beautiful log fire in the hut that works very very well. So cosy!
We want to come back with friends very soon to show them what a gem we have found.
Horses that we met in the surrounding fields were very friendly!
Tina is so lovely. I had car troubles before arriving and she called to check our arrival time and was very accommodating to the potential hazard that we Would not arrive until very late. Happily this wasn't an issue but was appreciated. Tina also was very helpful letting us know the shortcut to the pub and opening times, there is also a helpful book in the hut that has all local pub and attraction info with opening times and maps.
5 stars. Would happily recommend. The perfect mini break away from it all. Gorgeous countryside location. Perfection.
I brought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend, and I am so glad I did. We had an amazing stay it was such a relaxing weekend. We was made to feel very welcome and the facilities helped us have a very comfortable stay. The hut was spotlessly clean & defiantly very cute. I highly recommend Blue Caps glamping & look forward to visiting again. X
We had a great stay at Bluecaps Farm in Forget-me-Not shepherds hut. The hut and the farm had excellent facilities and the log burner was perfect for the cool autumn evenings. Our stay was enjoyed by the whole family. We enjoyed seeing the horses in the surrounding fields.
We had a very warm welcome from Tina and Paula. The breakfast hamper was a real treat and set us up for the day ahead.
