Visited with partner and MIL as something different to do on mothering Sunday, place is like entering a time warp back to 1950/60s America diner as seen in Happy days and Grease !. Location is right on the sea front with a car park opposite

Food is very tasty and very generous portion size, although a little slow in coming as it was very busy !

Place was a little noisy but that is in keeping with the image !

Wonderful back to the 50's in décor but with efficient and friendly service. Large American style food and portions. The place was nearly full when we passed in the afternoon and then when we went in the evening and this was in March not the Summer Season. Attention to detail is amazing and was enjoyed by all ages

Large plates of all sorts of wonderful American food! Always delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful (I visited with my brother who is in a large electric wheelchair). Helps to book as it can get very busy

Bobby Jo's recreates a 1950's American Diner complete with jukebox, authentic seating and pics of Marilyn Monroe etc on the walls. Warm and friendly atmosphere. Food was excellent, I had crispy chicken...best I have ever tasted... Montrose? mash which had cheese and bacon in it and was so tasty, wilted greens and gravy. Others in my party had burgers..all homemade. Good vegan options. A whole range of milkshakes, about 30, including alcoholic ones! Waitress was very pleasant and went out of her way to find me some brown sugar for my tea. Fair prices. BE WARNED: it is always busy, so best to book to avoid disappointment.

I decided, along with my daughter & granddaughter after a fun day at the Sealife Centre to all go & have an ice creams pancakes & milkshakes. The waitress told us we could not sit at the table that was available as it was reserved, but we could sit on the high stools. Whilst looking at the menu, a very rude & unpleasant lady told us that we are not allowed to sit on the stools ........ really, I never heard anything so ridiculous in all my life. To say she was rude was an understatement her attitude was disgusting my granddaughter was very upset. Myself & my daughter was very angry
Don’t bother

Sorry to hear of your experience with us, I was told about this incident by the Supervisor on duty. Unfortunately the tables that were empty were reserved for bookings due in. The restaurant was very busy and unfortunately as our bar area is a server area we can not let people sit on the stools. Our bar is very small and this is the area in which we make all drinks & desserts, so unfortunately no, we don't allow people to sit at the bar to eat or drink when we're extremely busy.
