Myself and a friend popped in to this gem of a cafè for a midday snack and were not disappointed! .
They have attentive staff, local artwork on the walls (very nice!) and the place was very clean and tidy.
Food prices vary (obviously) but are not steep.
You really do have to pop along to experience the food!.
It does get VERY busy.!!
But that only shows the quality of food on offer..Oh yes the home made cakes are to die for!!!

Dropped in to the cafe on a rare Monday off work to spend time with my mother on her birthday.

Went for a walk around the mill pond and Nore barn woods and then decided to grab a coffee in driftwood. The food smelled and looked so good that we opted for a small breakfast as well.

The service was impeccable and the staff were really friendly and chipper despite the fact they appeared to have quite an authoritarian boss on their case the whole time, but then again that’s probably why the place was busy and the service was great.

Highly recommend the smashed avocado and bacon on sour doe. The coffee was really smooth and tasty.

Will definitely be going back again soon!

A disappointing new menu. My salad was a bowl of cheap salad leaves, topped with cold, dry chicken, greasy bacon, and little avocado. Around the edge were placed slices radish and cherry tomatoes which were too cold to have flavour. A good option if like lots of coarse, bitter green leaves. An austerity salad but at over £10 not an austerity price. The waitress dismissed our views.

Always one of our favourites.

New menu has Goats Cheese salad with beetroot and lovely salad ingredients. No visit to Driftwood is complete without a slice of their 'historic' lemon meringue pie (as the late Michael Winner might have described it).

The Garden Room has greatly increased the capacity in the winter months and is a nice space.

Some thought needed about a windproof door to garden. With lots of through traffic, fellow diners who seem to have been born in a field, and even some staff far too much cold air reaches those at tables near by.
