3 of us went to a lunch here last year, but this year the 4 of us managed to get a booking on a Friday evening for dinner. It is so good that pre-booking a couple of weeks in advance is best.

Parking is fairly easy on arrival but you can get a little boxed in along the side of the restaurant. if you are leaving when the restaurant is still busy. Parking on the front is preferable.

We arrived at the same time so when we went in we were shown straight to our table. This turned out to be in the extension area which was very pleasant. Seeing the tables set as you go in makes the anticipation of a good evening very hopeful.

Quickly we were offered both the menus and a wine list. We were given the chance to order a drink straightaway but we preferred to wait until we decided on the main order.

This restaurant is not a chain and as food is made to order it works well for anyone with an allergy, If I go to a chain Italian I usually have one dish only that is garlic free but here they will give me a choice of sauces to go with which ever pasta dish I fancy,
Two of us chose the veal escalope with parma ham, sage and white wine sauce.
One had the stuffed chicken breast, and the final choice was the Chef's Risotto.
Our wine was the House White which was a very good choice. It was a crisp clean tasting wine and went well with all our choice of food. Three of us had the side order of potatoes and vegetables. Everyone was impressed by the taste and quality of the food.

To round off the meal we spent a few minutes deciding which dessert to choose. It was hard since the choices all sounded delicious.
Tiramisu, Chocolate Fondant Cake, Pannacotta and New York Cheesecake with Chocolate Chips were our decisions. All were the same price of £5.45 and the plates were attractively set out with the food.

After a good meal coffee and tea go well. The list was good and the prices between £2 and £3 very acceptable.

Our meal was not rushed but we had plenty of chance to speed up if time was important, When the staff knew we were relaxed and not in a hurry they let us take our time and yet still being attentive.

The total bill for the 4 of us under £120 and we were each very satisfied and very happy with the evening.

Thank you to the staff for your attention and service, and to the chef's for such a really good meal.

Me and my partner went here for our 4th anniversary really nice inside lovely staff. Starters was OK mushrooms was too watery and calamari was over cooked and no flavour in tomato sauce. Mains was better. Think we just had bad experience for our first time there.

Living 10 miles away from
Mama Mia we now can't fathom why we have not been before. Shall put that right in future.
Welcoming staff showed us to a table dressed in crisp white linen. Brought requested olives in three minutes at the same time as a Montepulciano bottle to sample. Then the order was placed for veal saltimbocca which arrived equally promptly. Deliciously prepared and served with a side dish of green beans and parsnips.
Desserts of chocolate gateau-like appearance and ice-cream (of course) rounded off a superb lunch. No coffee as time was short.
Got the feeling that will not be last time we will stop and sample "Italiano"--surely as good as it gets.

When we arrived there was a slight confusion with regards to our booking even though we'd only rang about 40 minutes before arriving. Didn't have to wait too long to give our order and the food came out within a reasonable time. The starters were absolutely delicious. The main was a bit disappointing, the risotto we felt wasn't cooked long enough, you could tell by the rice. The staff were very friendly and the place was clean. We will be coming back but maybe change our main choice.
