So this is a strange review for restaurant- as i didn't actually eat there yesterday! My brother and sister in law visited spontaneously and we decided on an Indian meal. It was early we hadn't booked, Saturday evening! Id been to India cottage some years ago and had enjoyed so chose there. Really pleased on entry with the beautiful atmospheric outside dining area. It was already busy and only 6.30 so not looking hopeful for a table- but we could do takeaway. We met the owner and asked if there was a table. He came back and said sorry and we were thinking that was that but then he mentioned his Sisters restaurant in town and promptly rang to see if a table- there was. Great. Now the cynical in you might think- well helping to keep money in the family- but i like to think of it as someone going that bit extra for someone! We had a banter about sibling rivalry and that we had to make sure we came back to his restaurant for a meal. He was busy but not too busy to be helpful and humorous. I think we definitely will. By the way- his sisters place- the food was delicious, service and banter with his sister good and lovely environment! Thanks
