This is a stunning house and richly deserves our five-star assessment.

We fell in love with it the moment we started to explore it, going from room to room with exclamations of delight. Indeed, every single one of the visitors who came here during our week-long stay to celebrate our Golden Wedding, said it was the most attractive holiday house they had ever seen, and they all wanted to move in permanently! It has a warm, welcoming feel and is beautifully presented, furnished and equipped.

There are glorious views from the windows when it isn't raining, though the rain during our stay did create a lovely photograph of a rainbow over the property. We thought it was an omen!

Combined with The Cider House next door the house makes an excellent venue for a large gathering of friends and family.

The farmhouse is deceptively large and it became a joke that newcomers got lost as they tried to negotiate their way round the ground floor.

Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, Bryan and Penny, and we really enjoyed our talks with them. Their kindness and attention to detail was superb. It was nice to see all the horses and ponies in the surrounding fields and the nearby stables, and to make friends with the owner's dogs. (However, if you don't like dogs, or want to take your own, the property is extremely well-fenced.)

We cannot recommend this place highly enough, and are trying to think of an excuse to go back again!
