Lovely house, well equipped, charming host to greet us, 10 minutes from Freshwater beach, goods shops in village and a well stocked local one. All the family had a great time, would not hesitate to recommend to others.
We had a glorious week in this lovely Victorian house. Sadly in the main the weather was not great but Tower House provided lots of room and space for entertaining a seven year old, two six year olds, two nearly three year olds and a one year old. The Tower room was a hit and much happy time was spent up there by the older children “making their den”. Paul was such a lovely, welcoming host. Huge thanks to him for making us feel at home. Mention must also be made of the fab location of the house, perfect for daily walks to the beach or on the Down. It was a great week and we would happily recommend this house to a larger group for an IOW stay.
We had a great week in this superb property. It suited everyone from 3 - 63 years old! It was spacious, comfortable and equipped with everything we could possibly want.
The sun lounge was lovely and my 3 year old granddaughter enjoyed climbing the ladder to the " princess tower "!
Tower House is in a great location for exploring the western IoW and we couldn't fault the accommodation. We had a few blustery wet days which gave us an excuse to relax in front of the log burner with a glass of wine and a good book. There's a shop a couple of doors down that sells something of everything so it was really easy to self-cater on the days that we weren't out sampling the local restaurants. Our boys were particularly excited to discover the small room in the tower, although it was a little chilly so probably best experienced in the summer months, not the dead of winter. We also loved the "conservatory" room at the front which gets a lot of sun in the morning.
A large quirky Victorian property, with than enough space to accommodate 10 adults, 1 baby and a dog! Lots of original features, different themed rooms and a delightful Belvedere, a perfect little spot to sit and read a book.
Good location with just a short walking distance to the beach. Local takeaways, Fish and Chips and Chinese were both excellent.
We had a great week and were very lucky with the weather, enjoying one evening, a beautiful sunset from Hanover Point, just a few minutes drive from the house.
Paul, the owner was very helpful throughout the booking process and communicated with us to ensure we had arrived and settled well, even though he was busy taking part in the Great North Run. He left us a welcoming bottle of red wine which was a nice touch and much appreciated.
The beds were very comfortable, the showers big and plenty of hot water, the kitchen well organised and great decor, paintings and ornaments. It was clean.
Better than my home!!!
