Spent 5 nights here together with 8 golfing buddies from Finland,Iceland,Sweden and USA. Great crew, great place, excellent golf and location impeccable. Beautiful views all around outside the lodge. Over the courses as well as Sandwich bay all the way up to Ramsgate NE direction. The Lodge is purpose built for golfers without doubt. Will come back and visit this place because of the golf and all the neighborhood has to offer. Played Princes, Royal St George and Royal Cinque Ports during my stay. Seaside and links golf is just 'heaven' ! It doesn't come better than this.

Room tip: Because of its location any room is good. Ground floor or first floor doesn't matter nor the direction.

The accommodation is just what a golfer needs after a frustrating day on the links.....comfortable bed, hot water, shower or soak in a bath and tv to watch before retiring to the bar. Bar service quick and pleasant as were the staff in the brasserie but the food was a let down...ham terrine very cold...straight from the fridge and the hamburger dry and tasteless...what a let down. Service was very slow. Breakfast was excellent plenty of fresh toast, tea etc.
Dunes and Shore courses very 'tired' and need some TLC. Himalayas good layout, needs time to settle in.

Last May we discovered the Princes restaurant by accident and opted for the only vegetarian meal on the menu. When the dishes arrived we found that the sauce was delicious but the pasta was uncooked. We mentioned this to the waitress who took our meals away and then returned 15 minutes later with new plates. The pasta was cooked but the sauce was somewhat tasteless (watered down). Since we had already felt uncomfortable having to complain in the first place, we ate the meal, paid the bill and talked to the receptionist on our way out. She apologised and suggested we should return for a complementary meal. This Saturday we decided to give the Princes another go. The pasta was cooked but the sauce was rather tasteless and no parmesan cheese was offered. When we paid for the drinks we had the waitress took our contactless card away! That should not have happened! The light in the ladies toilet did not work. Whilst the service was friendly and efficient (apart from the contactless card issue) we felt that the price of £16 for a plate of pasta was totally overpriced; nouvelle cuisine or not! We will not return, despite the lovely location! I should add that I have never before left a negative comment about any of the hotels or restaurants we visited, nor did we ever have reason to complain!

Superbly located, ideal accommodation if playing golf in east Kent. Well laid out, modern accommodation although showing some signs of wear and tear. Breakfastwas adequate. Friendly and efficient staff.

Room is comfortable with good shower. Breakfast is very disappointing. There is no fruit or yogurt to go with the cereal. Eggs were anemic and bacon and black pudding seemed to reheated. Proximity to the golf courses is its best feature.
