We were looking for a nice little place that was dog and baby friendly and open at 4pm for tea when other places were closing. We could not have stumbled upon a better place.

Our hosts were simply wonderful, so kind and wonderfully accommodating. The dog is enormous but they were happy to make space for him.

The food was beautiful, I had an apricot Bakewell tart which was sublime, the cream teas and scones were perfect with fantastic clotted cream. Tea was lovely. It’s a charming little building.

All in all they took our lovely day and made it sublime. Thank you both.

Yummy hot scones, gorgeous French pastries, hot tea and an absolutely wonderful French couple running this little piece of France in the heart of Tenterden. We had such a lovely visit with our newborn baby (and family member’s giant dog) and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area! A very memorable part of our holiday on the Kent coast. The hosts are just outstanding and did everything to accommodate us not far off closing time. A delicious treat, we will definitely be returning if we find ourselves in the area again.

If you shut your eyes to the high street outside, you could easily imagine you'd arrived in France ... but without the effort and expense of taking the ferry or shuttle. You can even try out your rusty French, if you feel inclined. We really enjoyed our light lunch: the owners are friendly and the simple food delicious. Hope to visit again, merci bien.

We stopped for coffee, which was excellent. The French owners are charming and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended!

Did I go to the same place as the other reviewers and have the other reviewers ever been to France! Smallest cafe au lait in the world very average cheese and ham sandwich from plastic packets. The owners seem very nice but my experience was very very average.
