I have visited the harbour in the past and really enjoyed it, however at 4pm on a Wednesday over the Easter holidays it was basically shut. Walked around with other lost soles before heading back into town.

Great little harbour market. Lots of interesting little craft market shops. There are 30 or so little craft shops all I guess local food and craft type stalls and shops. Great food and interesting gifts. Boat rides just starting from the harbour out to the old forts on the horizon

The harbour is always good for a wander around, to see what boats are in. Mainly small fishing boats these days, in the past I think it was more diverse. Nowadays there are huts selling all manner of things, delicious cheeses, pictures, souvenirs, places to eat and drink. In the Summer it gets very busy especially at weekends.

Unfortunately we visited on a very cold day and there was an icy wind but being a working Harbour there were some good eateries for fresh sea food both inside and out. There were also some huts nearby the harbour selling various crafts. We chose to walk along the seafront where there is a walkway all along and has a great view of the Estuary. There is plenty of parking just over the road from the harbour and also toilet facilities at the harbour. On a sunny day it must be buzzing with people sitting outside and enjoying the sea food but nothing much to do on a cold wet one!
